That was an epic game, best game since WS Game 6 in 2011. Wow.

Absolutely devastating for the A's. Cespedes is a little overrated, but they traded some good talent to not make the playoffs. How a rotation of Lester, Shark, Gray, Kazmir, and friends doesn't get in is just amazing.

That's right, I said they didn't make the playoffs. Hate how people think making it into the Wild Card game is the "playoffs".

I think the A's could have given the Angels real trouble with that pitching.

Now, I'm not sure if I want the Angels or Royals to win the series, I mean I fucking hate the Angels, but I'd love a Freeway WS.

Royals pitching is underrated. Duffy had an ERA in the mid 2's. Shields, Ventura, and Vargas all in the 3's and Guthrie in the low 4's. Impressive for being in the AL. Plus the backend of their pen is as good as it gets.

If we make it to the WS, who is a better matchup for us? I'd rather play KC. Screw the Angels and Tigers

That game was nuts and so much fun. Also shows how important it is to win that division, which I really enjoy. Sure, you still have a chance if you don't win the division but you're gonna have to play in the craziest game of your year.

Yeah, classic BB all the way.
It really illustrated , IMO, so much, how BB is a game of redemption, and all the aspects of cruelty it can have for weaknesses.
At the time of the second Moss HR, it seemed a perfect example of BP and a bit of a shaky performance by a catcher behind the plate and a purely miserable offense at 0-5. But before the game was over, he was the ultimate hero and the source of "live to fight another day".
I also discovered that his numbers during the season are more than double the combined totals for HR and RBIs of both our catchers, so the guy is pretty damn good.
Entertaining and nail biting game...something like this is basically an "I don't care" who wins, but I found myself rooting for KC early on when they were down.
Great crowd. No waves or beach balls.

Not me...I think those rabbits make mincemeat of our catchers at will. Speed is part of our attack, but they seem to have burner after burner on the roster. Speed won that game for them in the end, against OAK.
I don't like that matchup at all...AJ/ Butera vs. all those jackrabbits? Uh-uh.
I'd rather have our pitchers trying to stop the power of the other two you mentioned; better shot at that, I think.
Gotta get there first anyway...things can change in the playoffs.
AJ may be the hero...you just never know.

I want the Angels. Granted, I will be happy as a clam to make the WS regardless of who we'd play... but if I had a choice it would be the Angels. Their fans have been running their mouths for way too long, and what better way to shut those traps than to dominate them in the WS?

It's been a long time since we've won a WS, but it's been even longer since we've lost a WS. If we get there it's ours.

Halos have had their troubles with Ryu. Trout basically gives you strike one..after that, live up in the zone and you can stifle him.

i would've loved to have seen the Dodgers square off with the A's and slam them..make LaRussa have some flashbacks out there in AZ. now that that's dead i don't even really care who we face.

I just don't see how you all can stomach pulling for the Angels to win two rounds. If we lost, we'd hear shit forever, and facing Trout/Pujols in a 4 out of 7 game series doesn't sound too fun. I know we went 3-1 vs them in the regular season, but they were the best team in baseball in the regular season. However, these scenarios are irrelevant if we don't beat St. Louis

Going through the likes of STL, SF, and the Angels would be the sweetest victory...but would also be the most bitter defeat if we don't pull it off. I'd hate to see STL win another title, SF winning would be the ultimate kick to our gut, and losing to the Angels in the WS would hurt so bad. We would never hear the end of it.

I prefer the Angels and Giants get bounced and we takw care of STL. BOOM. All the teams I can't stand to see win are gone.

Big risk. Big reward. They were the best team in the regular season because they only had to face the Dodgers 4 times. The American League sucks balls.

The perfect scenario as others have mentioned is to beat STL then SF and finish with Anaheim. If SF doesn't get to the NLCS their shithead fans will have the "well you didn't play us" card. I'd rather take that away from them. I care the least about the Angels however, I'd like to shut them up as well. There should be a side bet that if the Dodgers win the WS against them they have to revert to the Anaheim Angels. If we can follow all of this up with a celebration tour through Philly and New York (Yankees) that would cover all my hated teams.

I don't care who it is. I don't care about ratings. I don't care what the gnat fans will say if we don't have to go through them. Just get there. Get there and win. Everything else is irrelevant when you're World Series champions.

I just want to see them win one.

I completely agree...I was just saying perfect scenario would be to beat all the teams I hate. There's a chance to line 3 of them up this post season. Will I be sad if the Pirates or Nats beat the Giants? Fuck no but beating the Giants on the way to a championship would be super sweet.
