So much talk of kershaw, mattingly, the bullpen, puig....

Agon played every game, sucked dick hitting .188 and in the three losses, went 0-4 w/ RISP.

Same reason why Angel fans aren't shitting on Mike Trout. Nowhere near the same players, but the point remains.

Because he wasn't why we lost and he knocked in 116 runs in the season? Disappointing yes, but not the horse that should be flogged , IMO.
Because, in spite of the flaccid offense by Agon, Dee and Hanley and Puig overall, we had the two games we lost in our pockets? Ahead in both, with the top pitcher in BB on the mound in both...and the pitching in both games fucking disappeared and ran and hid, and we let the Cardinals hit at a ridiculous clip, and our manager played right into their hands by pushing the wrong buttons again (shocking, I know)?
You just can't blame a guy who wins the RBI crown for going cold. We scored enough runs to win both games we lost...and they handled the Cardinals best pitchers, no problem.
Weren't we ahead 6-1 in the seventh in the first game?

i think the real question is, why do you think AGon is getting a pass in all of this? because he hasn't.

I just haven't seen his name dragged through the mud in these forums like puig, kersh and dbb for the series loss to the cards

i think a lot has to do with puig and kersh being hi-profile and dbb's continued head-scratching decisions
adrian is more of a low-key/below the radar performer
so, right or wrong, he gets less notice good or bad
but again, he's as culpable/responsible as anyone

well, if you're comparing AGon's mentions to those 3 than what do you expect? Kershaw was in full blown " choker LeBron " territory for a while there and Puig broke a record too i believe

Puig accounted for more of the dodgers offense than Agon and played one less game
Kershaw was a victim of no bullpen options
Agon is the second most expensive player on the roster at 21 million

It is weird how Gonzalez was almost never talked about. At least it seemed that way. Puig always dominates the headlines, whether or not he's good and Kershaw was obviously talked about a lot because of how shocking his performance in game 1 was and the fact we lost both his starts after winning almost every Kershaw start in the season. Agon pretty much gives you the same approach each game. Puig had 7 Ks in a row and looked beyond lost at the plate....very eye opening.
