    ^I like this. ^

I like being an "old fashioned Dodger Fan" because they used to get to and even win the World Series every few years.

I wouldn't have made this signing. I'm also not nearly as smart as Andrew Friedman or Farhan Zairi. We will see.

    Thank you, Knight Templar
I have no reason or explanation why you were in there...just a SNAFU on my part.

Hey man I am so sorry for some of that stuff, was just reading over what I wrote and I totally went full-bitch mode. I was in a bad mood (finals are a bitch) and the negativity just kind of put me over the top. Thats not to say I'm still not a little annoyed by the quick judgments on the new FO.

Just so you understand...moves that anyone made (Ned, too), bang you over the head when you hear about them...sometimes they exact a "negative" reaction...basically your gut tells you they shouldn't have done this...right or wrong of course. That's baseball. I'm tired of watching the Giants...you gotta realize, I used to roll around in the OF fighting with Yankee and Giant fans back in my day. I grew up across the street from a stadium. Yeah it's along time ago, and things have changed, some for the better, some definitely not. It's too damn long to be away for us; too long. It's gotta end.
I admit for instance, that I agreed with Ned when he signed Brian Wilson after his first go-round with us...and then , grew to hate it more each passing game. You just never know. Dee bothers me, because the kid played hard and made himself an all star, and I didn't think he needed to go, IMO.
However, the most important Thing, whatever we say or write, is that we get there in the end. One day. Finally.

From what I'm seeing about the guys in the Dee deal, the three that weren't the big name, who we flipped for Howie, seem like they'll all be valuable players at some point and time. Kikė seems like a good backup IF, Barnes is a backup catcher, potentially more, and Hatcher is a hard throwing RP. I like that we got 18 years of those three for 4 of Dee, just as much as I like Kendrick.

I agree but at least Medlin has pitched in the recent past but my main point was to illustrate nearly everyone's contention that he got too much.

Brett Anderson Calls Some Of His Past Injuries ‘Fluky’
by Vincent Samperio | Dodgers Nation -- January 22, 2015

Of all the deals the Los Angeles Dodgers made this winter, one of the more surprising ones was signing left-hander Brett Anderson to a one-year deal worth $10 million.

While Anderson’s talent is undeniable, it’s his injury-riddled past that is the most concerning. He’s thrown just over 200 innings combined over the last four seasons, including less than 50 in each of the last three. Though Anderson is aware of his past, it doesn’t seem to bother him thinking about the future.

According to Mark Saxon of ESPN LA, the left-hander thinks his past is a bit skewed:

"Yes and no,” Anderson said when asked if he views his signing as a risky one. “Due to my track record, it’s hard to say. I haven’t been able to go out as consistently as I would like and the teams I’ve played for would have liked, but then again a lot of the injuries have been fluky things.”

He’s missed time with a broken finger suffered in the batters’ box, and missed most of last year with a herniated disk. Anderson has undergone Tommy John surgery once already, but the past few injuries have not been arm-related. The 26-year-old is still relatively young, and for someone his age, his arm is relatively fresh.

If Anderson can stay away from weird injuries and solidify the Dodgers rotation, then his one-year deal will become one of the steals of the offseason. Judging from his work when on the mound, there’s a very good chance that he can make it happen.
