There's nothing like it man, it's great. Especially the night games. My advice is to come early in March though. Idk if you Californians can take the heat. ;)

Dodgers vs. Giants Friday night starting lineups
By Eric Stephen | True Blue LA — 1 hour ago
    [IMG]
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Vin Scully unofficially begins his unprecedented 66th season of calling Dodgers games when he broadcasts Friday night's game against the Giants at Camelback Ranch.

Scully's only game this spring from Arizona will be the most like a normal Scully telecast during the Cactus League, with the first three innings of Scully's call simulcast on both SportsNet LA and AM 570 radio. Charley Steiner and Rick Monday will call the remainder of the game on radio starting with the fourth inning.

During Scully's tenure with the Dodgers, there have been 917 different players to play in at least one game for the team. Sid Bream and Stan Wall are the only ones to have played exactly 66 games for the Dodgers during that span.

Once the regular season starts, that 917 number will grow, with Jimmy Rollins, Howie Kendrick and others making their official Dodger debuts. Rollins and Kendrick are in the lineup on Friday night against the Giants, with a Dodgers lineup that looks a lot like an opening day lineup might look, especially should A.J. Ellis catch Clayton Kershaw.

Zack Greinke is on the hill Friday night, making his fourth Cactus League start.

Also scheduled to pitch for the Dodgers are Paco Rodriguez, Yimi Garcia, Mike Adams and David Aardsma.

Chris Heston starts for the Giants, with Madison Bumgarner pitching on the minor league side for the Giants, avoiding giving the Dodgers a free look at the San Francisco ace.

Here is the Dodgers' lineup for Friday night, with the Giants' to follow later:

    - Rollins SS
    - Puig RF
    - Gonzalez 1B
    - Kendrick 2B
    - Crawford LF
    - Uribe 3B
    - Pederson CF
    - Ellis C
    - Greinke P

That lineup looks good for opening day, with Grandal instead of Ellis

If Ellis catches Kershaw on Wednesday that's probably an indicator that Grandal won't be in the Opening Day lineup.

Is it me or is Greinke's hair looking a bit Lincecum-request?

Better not start pitching like him post Cy Youngs

Ethier has been way better than him this spring, but CC is still going to get all of those starts.

Red Hot Ethier leads Dodgers against Angels
by Matthew Moreno | Dodgers Nation — 55 minutes ago
    [IMG]
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ time in Arizona is winding down with today marking the last Saturday of Spring Training. One day after blowing an early lead against the San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers face the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Tempe Diablo Stadium.

David Huff takes the mound in the Dodgers’ second Spring Training meeting with the Angels. Saturday marks Huff’s second-straight start and third overall this spring; he’s also made two relief appearances. The left-hander has been impressive in 8.2 innings, allowing just one earned run on six hits.

Huff’s ability to pitch as a swing man makes him an attractive option for the Dodgers bullpen heading into Spring Training, though he faces an uphill battle as he’s one of multiple left-handers who has performed well and is vying for a spot on the roster out of camp.

Starting opposite Huff is Matt Shoemaker, whom the Dodgers faced once last season. Shoemaker takes the mound for his fourth start of the spring and enters the game with a 1-1 record and 4.85 ERA.

Shoemaker allowed two runs in three innings in his first start and five runs in six innings the next time he took the mound, but is coming off an outing in which he threw six scoreless innings. He’s facing a lineup that is void of expected everyday starters, but still capable of posing a formidable challenge.

Andre Ethier, penciled in as the designated hitter, is batting .333/.404/.500 with four doubles and nine RBIs in 16 games. Ethier’s been locked in at the plate as of late, getting a hit in seven-straight games; three of which were multi-hit games.

Kiké Hernandez, who finds himself in left field, has also turned his fortunes around at the plate. In similar fashion to Hernandez, Justin Turner has been moved throughout the Dodgers’ infield and is starting at shortstop Saturday.

The two teams played to a 7-7 tie back on March 19, and will meet three more times in Los Angeles prior to the regular season beginning — April 2 and April 3 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, and April 4 at Dodger Stadium.
