Of course I am, but it's not based on this extremely small 18 AB sample, which was preceded by him hitting .238 in his first 84 AAA ABs. It's based on what he did from rookie ball in 2012 to AA late last season and in april. All I am saying is he shouldn't be called up based on one great series, give me a really good june, and we'll talk.

    Current sample size is hitting .324 in AAA with 3 HR's, 15 RBI's, 6 BB's, and only 15 K's

Because he hit .722 in this one series, he has had over 200 PA's at every level, let's if he still has a triple slash of .324/.367/.490 when he gets there.

Why not? I say once he reaches whatever PA threshold the Dodgers have in place, he should come up. He doesn't have to blow the roof off production wise imo. He's gonna be solid-great eventually at whatever level he's at. Let's do this.

better to have seager play daily in aaa than sit on the bench with the big club
at this point in the season... no way mattingly sits rollins, no matter how poorly he's doing

I don't think anyone was implying he would come up to sit on the bench. Obviously the only way he is with the big club is to be the starting SS.

good June or bad June, Seager's ready. Bill Shaikin said back in the winter that the FO felt Seager should be ready by June. June is here. they found a deal for Uribe..find a deal for Rollins. get the damn ball rolling.

It's not what we want, but it's what's gonna happen. I am sure we'd all like to see Seager have a great june, get called up and take over at SS on July 1st, but it's not likely.

Dreaming of a lineup with Olivera and Seager in the middle. If Olivera is for real, which seems to be the case, our lineup will be rediculously deep w/lots of depth on the bench. A playoff lineup going Kendrick/Pederson/Olivera/Gonzalez/Puig/Seager/SVS or Ethier/Grandal would be crazy hard to beat.

    grandal on seager...

    Grandal impressed with Corey Seager
by Matthew Moreno | Dodgers Nation — 7 hours ago

After suffering what the Los Angeles Dodgers believed to be a mild concussion, Yasmani Grandal was placed on the seven-day disabled list and eventually sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City to serve as a designated hitter over a three-game stretch.

Grandal went 3-for-10 with one double, five walks and three strikeouts in his rehab stint, was ejected in the fifth inning Wednesday after being called out on strikes, and got a firsthand look at Corey Seager.

All one of the Dodgers’ top prospects did was go 6-for-6 Thursday, which included his first opposite field home run of the season. For as hot of a bat as Seager swung, he came up a triple short of hitting for the cycle.

Grandal joined the Dodgers in St. Louis Friday and provided his account of Seager’s impressive game, via Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times:

“He wasn’t missing a pitch down there, no matter if you threw it lefty or righty,” Grandal said. “It didn’t matter. Really impressed by him. He’s got really good hands at short, too. He made a couple of good plays up the middle. But the bat really impressed me. Not too many guys go six for six and miss a cycle because he hit the ball too hard.”

Grandal added more context as to why Seager was robbed of a triple:

“It was a ground-rule double, but it could have been an easy triple for him,” Grandal said. “They were kind of playing him to left field because there was a lefty throwing,” Grandal said. “Just pulled it down the right-field line. The fence comes in to about 315, so the ball just bounced over.”
Grandal hit second, in front of Seager, in his first two games with OKC, then was placed in the cleanup spot, behind Seager, Thursday. Seager debuted in Triple-A when the month began and needed some time to settle in.

In the four-game series against the Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Triple-A affiliate), Seager went 13-for-18 with three home runs, four doubles and 10 RBIs. The 21-year-old shortstop is now batting .311/.354/.472 in 26 Triple-A games.

I find it fucking hilarious that Grandal got ejected from a minor league contest while on a 3 day rehab. Dude, chill, it's minor league ball...
