I noticed that the Marlins "fan" was at the game tonight....fuck off already. Your act was funny at first, but now it's just annoying
6.5 would be unreal....certainly possible if we win tomorrow. Not worried about Zack at all, but Bumgarner is going to be hard as shit to score off of...I think it'll be a 2-1 game either way. Kershaw-Leake favors us big time
LOLOLOL this thread is awesome. Speaking of awesome... this win!! I'll be out there tomorrow. Let's go for the kill.
Had to leave somewhere after the 11th inning so I missed the end of the game but reading back in this thread had me dying hahahahaha Great win. Let's do one again tomorrow!!!
great game!!!!! Hatcher since ballooning his era to a tune of 7.02 on june 2nd spanning 12 appearances hes pitched 10 inn 6hits 1 er 3 walks 13 ks 2 holds 1-1 w-L and dropped his era to 4.73
Yeah, my Tablet ran out of power and it got to be near 3AM here in NJ, so I didn't see it either...but what a great surprise listening to the recap of the game and Gonzo's heroics...unbelievable HUGE W makes a big difference in the scheme of it all. Great BP last night (except Nicascio), kept us in there until the 14th. Man it makes all the difference in the world (posted already) when Adrian hits some...if only Grandal could get his stroke back, Turner amp it up a bit, we'd be flyin'... Need Zack to go deep tonight. beating Bumgarden would be Nirvana for us. Yes indeed.
I wouldn't complain about a 1-0 Greinke gem tonight with Guerrero coming off the bench to go yard against Bumgarner and then staring him down as he circles the bases. I know, it's a stretch, but that's my fantasy.
i hope this is true, and i hope we win 11-0... Giants' hopes ride on tonight's Bumgarner-Greinke duel by Buster Olney, Senior Writer | ESPN Insider — 48 minutes ago The Giants' seemingly impossible championship run last year began Sept. 23, Jake Peavy believes, on a night Madison Bumgarner matched up against Zack Greinke, two star pitchers who will duel again tonight with San Francisco badly needing a victory after its 14-inning loss Monday. The story now is almost legend among the Giants' players. San Francisco fell behind in that game, and Bumgarner generated the only early-inning runs by clubbing a homer. Bumgarner was due to hit in the top of the eighth inning, and Giants manager Bruce Bochy intended to pinch-hit for him. Bochy approached the left-hander, who made his case to stay in and bat for himself, arguing that he had generated the runs. "I know, I know," Bochy responded, more than once. Finally, Bumgarner -- competitive, but not disrespectful -- said to Bochy in his North Carolina drawl, "You ain't talking to me like you know." With that, Bochy reversed himself and allowed Bumgarner to bat. He struck out, but Peavy remembers it as a turning point for Bumgarner and the team, because Bochy conveyed complete trust in his ace, and Bumgarner would go on to carry the Giants through October in a way no pitcher ever has. A wild-card berth may be out of reach for the Giants and Dodgers, given the dominance of the NL Central teams, which increases the importance of winning the NL West, and with San Francisco now five games behind Los Angeles in the loss column, there is a level of desperation in tonight's game. The Giants have six games left against the Dodgers and must do damage in head-to-head games and take four, at least, at a time when San Francisco's everyday lineup is wrecked by injuries. As with the Bumgarner-Greinke matchup of last year, tonight's game could end up being a turning point.
Greinke and Bumgardner has to go long into the game. The BPs are spent although we saved Kenley, so +1 for us. But the Giants still have the better pen. Low scoring game. Will be interesting.
Although it was a long game, Baez , Avilan, and Kenley only went one inning, and JP didn't pitch so we still have 4 guys who are useful in high leverage spots to pitch. Johnson and Hatcher going 5 innings was great, meanwhile they had Romo and Casilla (their biggest high leverage guys) go 4
Speaking of Romo.....god I hate that punk the more I see him. To storm off that mound like he accomplished something when he knew he balked halfway up to kingdom come.....weak sauce. I wished he would get beaned for that.
Yeah, BTW...where's HoF manager, now President High Muckety Muck of the Umpiring Federation on this; is he going to talk to someone, the crew chief ,the ump that blew the call (by not making it), or fucking what? Maybe a refresher course????? Every announcer said he balked, even SF guys. Where is the supreme direction on this Joey? Seems like they have no trouble calling shit like that on LAD pitchers...so what's the story, Joe?
