Oh wait...tonight's a lefty. So guess what, guys? Watch him sit Turner and play Rollins. :blueplatespecial:
Oh no doubt, Ruggiano and Puig are in there with Ethier coming in for Justin the moment Matz is out of the game
Please give us the game 5 at home with Zack we all thought we were getting last year. The offense needs to come through for once and stop looking so lost at the plate. A rookie #4 starter who has made like 4 starts in his career vs Clayton fucking Kershaw. No excuses
Not only cleaning up the "inherited" mess, but also the mess they help create themselves. Except the Mets want it so much more than the Dodger team out there now.
Jansen should be the first arm up in the bullpen tonight. If you pull Kershaw it should be for Jansen, it doesn't matter what inning or situation it is.
I was among those too disgusted to watch the entire game. Too painful. Now we have Clayton on 3 days rest. Again. Because THAT works so well. There's more pain a comin' I just feel bad for Clayton. The entire franchise and season riding on his shoulders. Again. This just doesn't bode well. Might require more significant pre-gaming to throw all possible manner of cyber assist towards this not being the last game of the season. That's my story and I'm sticking with it
The only reason you save your best pitcher for the 9th during the season is because you want to maximize his usage in high-leverage situations, so you don't want to waste him in games where his inning wouldn't have mattered. It's insane that closer logic is still used in the playoffs. Every situation is now high-leverage.
