Hillary is a typical politician and to expect anything less from EVERYONE is just plain naive. I'm rooting/voting for Hillary because of Bill. Shallow reason I know and I feel greasy lol.

I don't know, but it sounds like she has a solid future in hip-hop.

    ,
Sad...there's nothing typical about Hillary...nothing. That's where the real gullibillity is, imo.
And not to be contrary to what you wrote your reason(s) are to vote for her, not to expect more from any candidate, everyone as you put it, is why we come up with the level of the ones we have now.

I'm a realist and an old guy who has seen the same shit before election and after election, to me it's always been a lesser of evils. At least she has been in the room with the real scary people in the world among the leaders and has more experience dealing with those people. Trump will get us in war, Cruz will set back reproductive rights for women and Bernie could collapse and croak at any time and has zero foreign policy experience and isn't married to arguably one of the best Presidents we have ever had. IF she wins it will still be the Dems against the Reps and will clog up the system. IF Trump or Cruz wins it'll be the Reps having carte blanche to do anything they want. As for the level point the fact remains the stupid voters and stubborn voters outnumber the informed voters so I don't see much changing. Just calling it as I see it.

He'll be closer to her than the normal ex-president will be! How many times in the history of the world will we ever have an ex-president as a spouse of the sitting President?

That question depends on which side of the dias you're sitting on.

So the answer is both yes and no.

I see your point...but I'm in the "either you are or you're not" camp. I abhor Hillary, no doubt...but it's not like I carry a banner for Bernie or one of the GOP dudes. She is slime, imo, and the "they all do it" and the "all politicians are the same" is a serious hamstringing attitude to electing someone who is not as filthy, covered in dishonest feces as she is. I bet she smells of greed piss up close.
If you like, I will list the scandals that she is directly or heavily involved in...and being so voluminous, it's a wonder why any intelligent democrat would even contemplate a vote for her. Not informed enough, maybe?
The fact that she has more experience, or been "in the room with the scary people" already, as Doughty wrote, is just more time she has perfecting greater skills on how to steal and look the other way in her case.

even though i disagree i certainly can see you have put more thought into you pov than the average Hillary supporter
i don't believe Trump will involve us in war because much like Reagan i think bad actors will fear what he's capable of and thats a good thing
as it stands now we are an international joke in terms of our word with both allies and enemies
as far as the comment about Trump involving us in civil war that may indeed be his legacy
but in no small part due to Obama being the greatest divider in the history of the office
Obama is quick to blame Bush for everything of the last 7+ years and take ZERO responsibility for anything that went wrong (dare anyone to show me where he has)
thats not a leader and his racial rhetoric has set us back 60 years
everyone has blood in their eyes and hatred simmering in their hearts now
oh and even Bill loathes Hillary, just watch his body language

A bit more so than the average bear...given my time, age and circumstance.
When you no longer run wild and untethered, you have time for such things.

I didn't write the civil war thing to be clear but Trump just scares me with his mouth. The phrase your mouth is writing checks your body cannot cash is there for a reason. Obama a great divider are you mad???? The fact that he is the 1ST black president in history has the country so much in a snit that he has to go to extraordinary lengths to get shit passed. The country divided themselves and to be real it's been divided WELL before Obama's election. Show me when Obama has used racial rhetoric? He's been the most attacked by his birth, upbringing, last name and race more than anyone in this country! You must think all he does in the office is to plot the end of the white race of which I am half. For a guy not being a leader the facts bear otherwise. He's made several mistakes OF COURSE but he's going to go down to objective minds sans prejudices as one of the better presidents in history. I can say without worry of contradiction that racism has been here and will be here until the end of days. What person let alone a president admits mistakes, how long has it taken Bush to admit the war was a mistake???

With all due respect Diablo aren't you hispanic?? Your not the least bit offended by the assault on your heritage by Trump and by his ever growing supporters? Criminals and rapists? I haven't admittedly delved deeply into Cruz or Rubio's thoughts on race other then them being sort of hispanic so I talked about Trump a lot. In my rant I may have also assume you like Trump, if I'm wrong ignore most of this lol. Having been married for 18 years I can understand your thoughts on Bill but it happens and sometimes while I love my wife she is annoying, just saying.

Good post ,Devil...the body language thing is astute on your part, and there bigger than shit.
Obama has been exactly the opposite of what the dream was supposed to be 8 years ago. In his own way, he is more brutal for America overall than Trump is capable of...but has the orators voice and preachers delivery to make it all sound like sage policy.
Trump has the complete opposite of that, and , imo, turns many away from his camp, even though what he says is, in their hearts, is what they want to hear...

I watch Maher too, because I think he's a good comedian, and want hear all sides of it all. He usually goes at it with someone from the other side, so that can be enlightning. I just don't know how important being able to smoke pot legally is to the big picture, but he doesn't back off, I'll give him that.
But MSNBC is so slanted it's laughable, for me.
Not answering for Diablo, but...I think making overt statements about blacks being shot by white policeman, statements about the "natural DNA of racism" in us, other statements, and his A G being sent to areas when blacks are involved (but not to white trouble spots) are all racially dividing.

ok i can see what you're saying and have heard this pov but once again totally disagree
I'm sure BZ and I could start listing the numerous unpresidential comments he has made in the midst of bad situations
he weighs in on every REAL or PERCEIVED slight of the black race no matter what the circumstances and yet has NEVER ONCE raised the issue of black on black crime which is by FAR the worst of all killers of black people
its all agenda all the time w BO and thats my opinion
with regards to my race my first question is why would that make a difference? isn't it about common sense?
this current regime of political elite on both sides of the aisle makes me sick and i honestly don't believe for a minute that one of them has anything but their own self interest in mind
so as hard as it is to believe there are some of us that actually believe beyond his ego that Trump actually gives a shit about the country going forward
its truly amazing to me how the liberals of this country (including my brother and sister btw) continue to defend the government and its programs at any cost and shouting down the opposing pov to the point of censorship. not your 60s question authority group anymore is it?
oh and I am latino, thai, sri lankan, jew and nigga because I've been told by the people
just because we don't agree doesn't make me the enemy
I'm just holding out for personal responsibility making a come back and hard working people not being penalized for their endeavors
we need social nets for those too old, too sick or unable to work but cmon who thinks thats the case anymore?
we are a flat lined lazy bunch of complaining bkitches

Obviously the only middle ground with regards to our conversation is to agree to disagree. The one thing I do wholeheartedly agree is your last line.
