a split in this series would feel like a sweep none of the 4 guys they're throwing at us have an era >3 whereas only one of our starters is <4
LAD 4.5 back. All I ask is for signs of urgency here. 162 game schedule, teams win games they're not supposed to, would be nice for them to be one of those teams here.
Could always be worse. We're pretty experienced in how a 5 game lead can turn into an insurmountable 11-12 game lead in a blink, been on the right side of that outcome in recent years
I have seen that yes but I've also seen us have a great 2nd half in recent years/ Given that we have lost over 500 man games and yet we are not buried even further gives me a modicum of confidence.
Well I hope they're tricked into thinking the 2nd half starts a month early and they win this series. Don't have 2 aces to lean on this year and the record is what it is without CK pitching until they change it. My confidence is wrapped up in this current 6 wins in 7 games stretch, that's as far as I can go with it
really need to score runs in this series i'd be happy with a split with kersh not pitching and 4 competitive games would be nice but i have a feeling we'll get blown out a time or two
The schedule so far, seems not to be so kind to us. With the SFags, being what they are these days, seem to be coasting with easy teams, while we draw the better ones. I hate when that happens.
It's a 1,000,000% certainty that the Gnats will kill that horrible home team. Potentially a 8.5 game deficit.
i am going to have to listen to non stop chatter from Chicago if we don't compete in this series i'm calling the sweep right now by us of course
Thats the spirit. Gotta root for our team to win. Not speak falsely rooting but expecting them to lose. Thats not rooting. Thats pruning. Worse yet uprooting. The rooters have hope from the start. They are true supporters of the vin. They have hope in their seed. They sow knowing their harvest will bear fruit. And that there will be wine in their bellies and win in their hearts.
Yeah..know what you mean. But if they do win, then that is an opening for us that we absolutely need to take advantage of. Gaining a game to 3 1/2 behind is huge, no matter what happens the rest of these series. If we could win just another then for a split...
