No reason for kike to remain with the team after today(after last 2 months) downright despicable. Send his ass down.

Four and five inning starters are going to kill this pen.

Doesn't help when you score only one run, either.

    He's clueless.

Dodgers have some of the lowest IQ players in the game.

Kike to AAA. Trade for and bring back Repko to patrol the OF to replace him. Seager and him will play well together...

I remember a constant daily reminder how great he was when the Marlins thing happened. That he was the greater value when Dee went. Initially, it did seem like he was a very valuable player.
But offensively, he has almost no worth whatsoever now. Just doesn't seem like he has any idea at all anymore of the strike zone. Like a different player entirely.

Agreed. Feels like both teams lost that trade now. Maybe he can find some semblance of confidence after getting hot in the minors. I mean he was really really good last year but is equally bad this year. Andruw jones bad.

My apologies. I was one of the Kike, Hatcher, Barnes Heany/Howie nut huggers and I was wrong.

Do you think it is a weak spot in what they are taught (or not, actually), in the minors? I see some players that seem like they couldn't be taught their ABCs...and guys like Seager that are savvy already.

    you born with talent
like speed, you cant teach speed
you can teach skills that will help get the most of what speed you do have
    but you cant teach speed
    its not a skill
i hope the difference between skill and talent is clear to you know
and no, it has nothing to do with race
other than the obvious notion that we will go out and pay for big time talent from outside the country even if they have not been properly educated in american baseball skills
we can coach up lesser talented americans to play
but if you are going to go for a foreigner its more than likely going to be a talent search and not a skills search
and when you do find a highly talented as well as highly skilled foreigner you are usually talking about a cant miss future HOF player
like what Urias can turn out to be
i can break it down by race and nationality if you really want to throw the racist card at me

Shit, I thought he was good, too. He was, wasn't he? Can't imagine the 180° he did. I used to lament no Dee all the time...look at that shit now.
Lots of people liked Hatcher, too.
    Howie had a nice year.
Word on Heany was he was supposed to be terrific...isn't that who the Angels wanted so badly?
Barnes, idk...I guess he'll get his shot, probably next year. Not much bat there.
Hard to tell with the AJ/ CK fellatio thing going on.
But idt Grandal is going anywhere soon at all.

    talent, skill, meh
    what about stupid?
is someone born stupid or is it a skill they learn?
or a better question... can a stupid person be taught not to be stupid?
    i'm leaning toward not
otherwise puig would have learned how to hit a cutoff man by now
    i know, racist

I dont mention things like aptitude or intelligence when i talk about skill and talent.
Folks seem to think i do and call me a racist for saying that guys like Puig are more talent than skill.

In classic rpg a human is middle of the road talent wise but he has greater ability to learn a variety of skills.
A dwarf or giant is more talented but has less developed skills and relies mostly on talent.
An elf or gnome is more talented too and can take some of his skills sky high but is not nearly as well rounded skillfully or even in talent as is a human.

In classic rpg the human represents the standard westerner.
The other races are in some way representative of foreign racial groups.

I wasn't expecting the Tolkien racial breakdown...I must admit, Rube.
Lol. Always surprising take on things.
    Interesting though.
