A couple of problems with that, typically teams who load up on offense do it because they are playing to a lot of personnel they already have in-place, as well as a hitter friendly ballpark, they have neither. Also, those players would not fetch 2 premium offensive players (one of whom plays a premium position) and 2 quality relievers, as much as I like Holmes, Verdugo and Bellinger, they aren't centerpieces for any non-rental impact players, Buehler has yet to pitch professionally and Diaz is still in very early stage development. The only value that SVS and Bolsinger have is that they are cheap.

The mid-season Top 100 prospects and top 30 for each team dropped last night. Below is the link:

    http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2016?list=la

    Some notes:
    - Bellinger supplanted JDL as the #2 prospect.
    - Verdugo moved past Holmes, Montas etc. to #4
    - 3 2016 draft picks made the top 15, Sheffield (#11), Lux (#12) and Smith (#15). But all are below 2015 1st round pick Walker Buehler (#10).
    - Willie Calhoun moved from outside the top 15 to #6.
    - A few guys who didn't move up as much as I thought they would: Josh Sborz (#19) believe he was #18 a few days ago, and he has been very solid. Brock Stewart (#18) we all know how good he has been, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him be the guy who rounded out the Top 10. Finally, Chase De Jong (#21), he has been the ace of the AA staff since Stewart and Oaks moved on and has really exceeded all expectations.

Thought Lux would be around that 15th spot, cool to see him a tad higher at least on that particular list

I would guess that JDL is down at #3 only because he has been on the DL a decent part of this year.

Another great start by Brock Stewart: 6 IP, 2 H, ER, BB, 3 K. Retired 14 of last 15 batters, including last 8 straight. #Dodgers
    -------------------
Continues to build his new career high innings total, which if you include his big league innings is 115, previous high was 101 last year.

    - Good to see Calhoun and Verdugo get the recognition they deserve, both should see boosts in the off season when they do the full re-grades.
    - I am shocked that there is no Trevor Oaks on here, he has been really good this year and from what I have heard, impressive middle of the rotation stuff.
    - Alvarez could be a good bit higher by the end of this season if he keeps up what he has done.
    - Agreed on DeJong, guy has been a stud and has done a great job especially since adding that new cutter.

Guys to keep an eye on
    - Abdullah is someone getting attention, heard he flashes front of the rotation potential, but still very raw.
    - Brendon Davis, I've read a few different notes that think that if he starts to put it all together, he will be a monster. He is having a rough year in the MWL, though a lot of folks do... I just worry that it has been a REALLY bad year.
    - Edwin Rios, This is one that we should be able to know if he is something more than a flash in the pan by the end of this season. He has been crushing the ball this year and is tied with Calhoun for the org lead in HR's, but he is a year older than WC and playing at lower levels. Just got the promotion to AA so it will be interesting to see how he does. Scouting reports are not very positive on him going forward.

Not a bad outing by JDL especially pitching in AAA let alone in Colorado Springs. 7 innings 3 hits allowed including the HR that resulted in the 3 earned.

He's going to have to pitch in Denver eventually.

Time to get used to it.

Josh Sborz and Andrew Sopko have both been promoted to AA Tulsa after very good seasons in the Cal League.

Seems random and also might lead to a promotion? They've been shuffling a bit
