    thought about that myself
could imagine cespedes walking into the locker room...

PUIG: "Yeonis, what you doing here?!!!"
CESPEDES: "I just sign to play RF payaso."
PUIG: "So then where I play?"
    CESPEDES: "Milwaukee."
    PUIG: "Milwaukee? What you mean???"
FRIEDMAN: "Yasiel, may we have a word with you?"
    CESPEDES: "Hasta bkitch."

Lol And Cespedes reportedly loves making an entrance in all sorts of cars and other shit.
Would be funny AF if Puig was shagging fly balls in RF and Cespedes flies in on a helicopter, hops out, meanwhile the Dodger FO has packed Puig's bags and they're bringing them out to the field and they send Puig out on the same chopper Lol

James Shields chooses not to opt out of final two years of contract
by Chris Cotillo | MLB Daily Dish — 7 hours ago

White Sox right-hander James Shields will opt in to the final two years of his contract and return to Chicago, a major-league source tells SB Nation. Shields’ contract included an opt-out clause that would have allowed him to choose to test free agency this winter.

Shields’ decision to return to the White Sox was widely expected, as the 34-year old posted a 6-19 record and 5.85 ERA in 33 starts last season. Despite a weak free-agent pitching class this winter, Shields is owed $44 million in guaranteed money over the next two seasons and would not have received offers of that caliber on the open market.

Shields will be paid $21 million in each of the next two years before his contract calls for a $16 million option or $2 million buyout. The Padres are reportedly on the hook for half ($22 million) of his remaining salary after trading Shields to the White Sox in June.

Shields will look to rebound in his second season with the White Sox just two seasons after earning a 4-year, $75 million deal from San Diego. He is a veteran of 11 major-league seasons with the Rays (2006-12), Royals (2013-14), Padres (2015-16) and White Sox (2016), and owns a career 3.91 ERA.

So you can't let it go because you like him, ok got it Irish . I've already written that he has been immature so I don't know what you are talking about. Said he was a lousy pinch hitter the other day and have criticized him for his past indiscretions. I only brought up the cars because that so far, other than being a Cuban defector is the only thing they have in common. His past is his past and there has been no indication that he has been repeating them after being recalled. None of his indiscretions rises to anything so heinous that he is a lost cause and STILL only 25 JT didn't gain prominence until he was 29 as one example. Adam Duvall at 28, SVS at 30 still hasn't found it consistently yet. He's at least done it and has time to do what every major leaguer has to do to stay here and that is adjust and he showed signs of it since his call-up. I freely admit I'm on his side but I think I am pretty fair or at least I try to be.

i'll let it go when he stops acting like an jackass
you keep trying to defend puig with these silly comparisons
and again i'll refer you back to the "have either of them done..." scenario
you say he's shown no signs of repeating his stupid acts
i counter with my original point; his lack of focus during the lds
he got shipped to the minors, they traded to get someone to replace him, and he [and you] still don't get it
your blind love of puig is clouding your vision
    but whatev man

I think Turner and Blanton stay.

If we don't give him what he wants, Kenley walks. It sucks, but he's gonna get paid, whether we're the ones or not.

    Hill, I have no clue.

    The rest can leave.

Keep Kenley and Turner at any cost. Keep Hill if he's on a decent deal, like 3/48? Everyone else goes.

He fucking wants to pay back the Country of Mexico for SAVING HIS LIFE and you say he is a jackass for that? OMG. The examples I used weren't defending them it was comparing the response of media but in retrospect it may have been weaker than I thought initially. That admission notwithstanding he fucked up and paid for it what more do you want? He'll have a chance at further redemption next year either here or somewhere else, he is out of chances.

How in the hell can you write that he lacked focus when your not in his head man, because he didn't perform like a superstar?? Was there a story that surfaced that he lacked focus? That is a HUGE assumption. I wrote that this is his last chance, is that being blind? Yes they sent him down and he did everything he was told and the FO was very happy with him. Yeah they did trade for Reddick to replace Yasiel and boy what an impact Josh made. Pay close attention to this sentence, they traded for him because of Yasiel's behavior (90% of the reason) before the demotion and because of him being a left-handed.

    That's not what he said.
Just because you add " fucking " doesn't make it legit or a strong stance.
    Cut that out.

Here I thought we were going to have a serious discussion, lol.

JT stays, Joe stays, Kenley will depend on Kenley. 50/50 on Rich Hill and the rest buh bye.

Tolleson just was just granted his release we can reunite him with his pal Kershaw. Some talk given the statement by Al Avila in which he said there will be changes, about Verlander and Kinsley being traded here?

He said I wanted to play for Mexico to give back which saved his life given his dangerous journey to get here. It's a logical progression. If you want to call it an assumption you can but that doesn't seem to matter in this thread it's full of them so deal with it I do.

the way you spin things is amazing
his entire team is getting ready to play the lds at home
and he crashes an interview to beg the dodgers to play for mexico
friedman said he wouldn't comment yes/no until after the season
and here's this asshole pimping it afterward on tv
please explain how that is being focused on the task at hand and not some extracurricular activity
but yeah, i'm not "in his head" so you're right -- he's probably focused

josh not having an impact is irrelevant
and here's something you need to pay attention to...
whether he hit .550 or .050, the point remains they got him to take puig's position

Pros laugh at you fans for taking shit like this seriously.
All the 'focused' talk you hear from them in the media is part of the show.
It starts at the top when coaches come out and give their speeches after a loss and pretend to be super angry.
Some coaches have admitted that its all an act and that they dont actually believe most of what they say.
But you gotta feed the beast.
    The media pays the bills.
