    Cool Denzel story....

Denzel is a good customer of my wife's and as such, they have developed somewhat of a relationship. He has always been very nice to her and comes off very genuine, despite his celebrity. Last time he was in her store, they got to talking and during the course of their 2 hour conversation, he mentioned to her that he was to be playing a character on the Autism spectrum. Then, of course, she mentioned our son. He immediately perked up and started (sort of) interviewing her about his mannerisms. He's a method actor so he was genuinely interested in learning. She answered a bunch of questions and he finally asked her if it would be OK to set up a time when we all could meet and he could spend some time with our son after he returned from his New Years trip and the Golden Globes.

    Cool cat. :)

Very cool, Darth and Denzel BFFs?

Have you watched Asperger's Are Us on Netflix? I watched it this weekend, it's a documentary about a group of guys with Asperger's who formed a comedy group.

I haven't no. Funny thing though, although I'm interested in this as a subject, I find myself not watching stuff like this since I live it daily.

Well, he's been in there a bunch of times and it's relatively close to his house so I'm sure he'll be back.

When he walks in he calls out, "Where's my girl?" :D

Was at Big League Dreams all day for an MLK tourney. 11u majors.. these kids are beasts.. some of the best teams in the nation..

It's a select 30 tourney so USSSA selects 30 kids form all the teams that play. These kids are selected for a showcase in Florida this summer..

The kid I've been coaching as a catcher was selected today.. I've been working with him for a little over a year and he is a BEAST!!

So gratifying to see all his hard work payoff..

    Proud coach!

BTW some of these 11u teams would compete with HS JV programs.. it's just insane to see the level of talent out there.

I guess this is the right thread...caught Russo, today for 10 minutes. Usually the salvitating, SF fan/screamer is someone I can only take in small doses..
But talking today to Jeff Passan, who said his reasoning for voting for roiders Bonds and Clemens is that Cooperstown is not a " hallowed, holy place", as thought by many. Rather it is an institution that acknowledges the seminal individuals in the history of the game. Within those parameters, Bonds and Clemens fit.
But Russo, I must admit, came back with a short and simple retort of" then why not put Pete Rose in?"...
I must admit, he had Passan, who came back weakly and a bit surprised at the saliency of that response. I thought it was great question posed by Russo actually, and a cogent, fair point...
    Anyone agree?

    saw something similar
he was in a roundtable with rosentahl/verducci/darling/kenney
and he was adamant about never letting clemens/bonds in the hall
almost everyone was ripping him, surprisingly rosenthal stuck up for him

Sorry to report Irish, I don't know what you are referring to here...could you elaborate, please?
Got to know when anything concerns the Duke of Flatbush.
