    Trevor Oaks getting the start today for the big club and is continuing to not do poorly. Should be interesting to see how he does. Monday said something interesting in that Oaks added a 5th(FIFTH!!!) pitch to his repertoire this offseason. He noted that is generally not preferred for young pitchers, but the coaching staff says that just like all his other pitches, he locates it well. He has a serious + Sinker that he can work into the mid 90's, but everything else is average. He fills up the zone and gets a ton of ground outs which is why he gets the #5 projection(this is still valuable). It'd be nice to see him get a little more movement out of his secondary stuff while maintaining the control, which is why adding more pitches is more of a "ehhhhh" at this point for the guy. It will be interesting to see how this splitter moves compared to his sinker and if it could be a much needed strikeout pitch for Oaks.

    Ground out specialist maybe. Like a Derek Lowe maybe.
    Lowe gave us 4 straight really good years of quality starts. Threw an average of 210 innings and started 34 games a season.
    Workhorse.
