The comment I made was directed at whether Melo in OKC would e good enough to convince PG13 to stay. All I'm saying is that I have my doubts....primarily because Russ is up tempo and needs the ball. Melo is pure ball hogging iso. PG may never handle the ball.

Whether Russ can accomplish more on the Lakers with LeQueen....I have no idea.

Dwyane Wade, Bulls Reach Contract Buyout After 1 Season in Chicago

Dwyane Wade's homecoming with the Chicago Bulls is over after only one season.

The veteran guard and the team came to terms on a buyout Sunday. The Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson first reported the news.

Wade commented on the decision, via Johnson:

"I just felt it was time for me, turning 36, that I want to be competing for a championship.
Being unselfish, these young players they're giving these opportunities to, they need to have that time to make mistakes and learn as they're growing and building what they envision. They don't need an old selfish guy like me hanging around them."

Wojnarowski added the Cavaliers are the "clear front-runner" because of LeBron James, but he noted it will take time for Wade to decide upon his next destination. A source close to James thinks Wade will pick the Cavaliers, per Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

Meanwhile, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reported there is "absolutely" interest between Wade and the Miami Heat.

Wade was set to earn $23.8 million for the upcoming season before he hit free agency next summer. He is giving back roughly $8 million of his $23.8 million salary in the buyout, per Wojnarowski.

The 2016-17 season ended on a higher note than many expected for the Bulls, but they were still in need of a full-scale rebuild. The front office took notice in the offseason, sending Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick in this year's draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen.

The writing was on the wall for Wade at that point. On the Aug. 22 edition of ESPN's The Jump, ESPN.com's Nick Friedell revealed "the young players on the Bulls really can't stand [Wade]" and had grown tired of playing with the admitted selfish 35-year-old guard

yeah keep this whiny cancer away from LA

A lot of young bums can't stand stars..think Smush, Farmar, Ebanks, and some of the other young bums from back in the day loved Kobe?
Those same young bums in CHI reportedly loved Rondo, who everybody supposedly hates.
Young bums can suck my balls..Paul George is cool with Wade, as is LeBron.
I wouldn't worry about Zo or Ingram..they're not bums.
Nor is Whiteside, who Wade took under his wing when Whiteside was having troubles in Miami.
    Context makes all the difference.

Being healthy now is one thing. Staying healthy is another.

Bogut is always healthy and working out for the past six weeks before he gets injured and has to sit on his ass for the following 6 months.

So whispers still going around about Russ signing his extension with OKC in a week or so and George's camp not being 100% sold on playing with LeBron, so some alternative/under the radar options could be lining up here..or are already lined up. LeBron potentially recruiting Boogie Cousins to join him with LAL in 2018. LeBron and Boogie have a little low key bromance, so I wouldn't doubt it. Boogie wears his own customized LeBron Nike sneaks every game and LeBron was trying to get the Cavs to swing a Boogie/Love swap last off-season, calls Boogie the best big man in the league, and supposedly those failed trade talks are one of the reasons why LeBron is ready to break it off with Gilbert again.

IMO, Boogie is easily better than George and I'd slightly prefer Boogie over Russ. Obviously, plenty polarizing, but Boogie is arguably the most talented player in the league. Towns would have something to say about that, and then of course older dogs LeBron and Durant, but very few can match Boogie's pure talent level. And to top it off, Boogie's come down from 270lbs and is now around 250lbs this year, so he's one of the most intriguing guys to watch this year in general. As good as Boogie already was, he could be even better moving forward having shed weight, potentially better defensively and little more active on that end. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Boogie followed LeBron to LAL..LAL was his favorite team growing up, Kobe and Shaq his favorite guys.

Lakers Training Camp: Brandon Ingram can’t believe how strong Julius Randle is now
by Drew Garrison Sep 25, 2017, 7:08pm PDT

“He got stronger and it's crazy, to get even stronger than he already was. He's coming here the same hours that I am. He refined his shot too, and he's shooting it from the three-point line really well right now,” Ingram said of Randle.

True. However, a lot of questions about his present status..if he's dealing with anything, why LAL got him for so little, and what he has left and whatever

    https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...s-training-camp-ivica-zubac-body-fat-nickname

“Zubac looked great. I took his body fat today and it's down to eight percent, so that's his new nickname on the team. ‘Eight Percent’ is Zu's new name. He asked me, he said ‘Coach you remember I was at 19.’ I said ‘I know, I was making fun of you for that.’ But it's good to see, he looked good he looked like he was moving well,” Walton said

Inexperience with his new frame could be another reason why he didn't convert more in the summer league.
8% is damn impressive for Zu..kudos to the FO for getting the young guys right.
Ingram taller and a little stronger, Julius much stronger and in better shape, Zu in terrific shape..I don't imagine Zo and Kuzma have many issues here, if any at all.
That Clarkson was @ 12% last year is sort of disappointing

So Melo will indeed be moving to PF and in that Team USA role with OKC, setting screens, cutting and playing off the ball a little more
Gonna see how it holds up..think they could be the 2nd best team in the west if they buy in defensively, but no matter what the #1 team is still way ahead.
Spurs will always be in the mix
