I have always disliked Fields. He and McCarthy make me want to join black lives matter.

 

I hate the feeling of the other team having momentum. Especially with an off day.

Yu Darvish has to settle in. We can get the runs.

Don’t out smart yourself Roberts, and we win Game 3.

 

That was a weird game. That's all. They had 22 hits and we had 3... if we won it would have been a steal. I'm still trying to figure out how Belli's out in the 9th wasn't a HR... that was the greatest optical illusion I've ever seen.

Bottom line, we were the best team in baseball this year and there's no way we roll over in Houston. We are built well for American League play.

Question: both Kershaw and Hill had short outings... do we commit to a 3-man rotation? Limit Darvish to 4 innings and use Wood in relief? Then pitch Kershaw-Hill-Darvish-Kershaw for games 4-7?

 

I don't blame Kenley. It's mindblowing how Stripling, McCarthy and Fields are all so bad you can't trust any of them to get literally one out

 

The Astros have such a good offense that it's hard to have full confidence

 

We gotta ride Darvish as far as he can go. We are not in Kershaw/Hill relief situation yet.

If we win Game 3, go back to Wood. If we lose Game 3, think about Kershaw, but I would still stick to Wood with Kershaw in relief.

 

Don't look now, but the guy we traded him for has quickly become one of the top prospects in his organization.... the Astros....

 

That is what my brain can't process. How these guys can be so bad that they can't even run into a decent inning once in awhile. How can they suck that bad in be in the major leagues?

I mean... All McCarthy, fields, and Stripling had to do was not be the worst pitchers in baseball. Just be marginally better than horrid and we win the game

 

And Fields continues to contribute for the Stros. They gave him the game ball tonight.

To me this loss is all on Dave, cause I'm thinking Hill could've went at least 1 more inning. The numbers the bullpen have put up have been awesome in the playoffs, but were due to take a hit. Not to mention our hits came too late to make a difference. Yeah, if Puig makes that catch could've turned out different along with that 7th inning failure to score. McCarthy and Fields show the "holes" in the bullpen, and I'm still trying to figure out why McCarthy ( who was not on the roster for the NL championship) would be on it now. Does this team get swept in Houston....NO it does not. But it's now a series of no mistakes and that includes the ones made by head coaches. I still like our chances.
