Totally in on the preference for El Tacqueria de Mexicano or anything else where locals eat.

I've never had a "grilled stuft burrito" in my life and I can't see that as an issue. But now I'm a tad curious.
I also avoid McD's with the solo exception of an early morning 'sausage Mcmuffin with egg, extra sausage" on those days when you know you're going to not let go of a shovel for 8 hours, since that shit sits heavy and is greasy enough to tolerate cerveza later without issue.

I'd be a lot more nervous about SF getting Bryce because their books will otherwise be clear after 2021 (sans Longoria), and we know they can/will run a big payroll.

They don't have to lean on a bunch of lottery tickets becoming stars.

Only real food on their menu.
I don't know whats in the sausage but I know that the egg is cracked from the shell not poured out of a container like the rest of McD's egg recipes.

Oh, I did not mean that they were targeting Trout in trade, it was said about when he hits FA. I don't think anyone expects the Angels to actually trade him. Joc has value enough to land some interesting prospects, but no not some #1 guy.

I honestly think they are about to do what we did the first couple of years under Kasten and spend insane amounts of money to be competitive and build up the farm in the meantime. Probably a big reason why they chose Zaidi.

It sounds like the Nats are going to get the last shot at Harper(this has been speculated before, but is coming up again) and it looks like they may be willing to try and match. Though their last offer was 10 years and $300M, 100M of that was deferred. The Phillies are said to have the highest offer right now, but are refusing to bring it up any higher and Boras is said to be willing to wait for someone to get to their price tag. Some are saying it would need to be higher than Machado and others are saying it would need to be higher than Stanton's total. There is a chance that he is still not signing immediately if this is the case.

There was a rumor that the Padres could still go after Harper, but that is said to be completely untrue and they are fully out on him. The White Sox and Phillies were said to prefer Machado over Harper, so the Phillies offer is said to be below what the Padres gave Manny. 8 at 250 is what the White Sox offered to MM and they said that was completely tapping them out, so don't expect much more from them here either. There's rumored to be multiple mystery teams still very much in on Harper with the Giants and Phillies being the only teams actually named. There was a report that Boras had multiple $300M offers in hand, but this is looking much less true than it did 48 hours ago as he would likely have signed by now.

Keuchel is looking to get something close to Corbin(which is insane if true) and Kimbrel is holding out for 5+ years. This has been the dumbest offseason ever and I hope this murders Boras' client list.

    Remaining FA's from MLBTR's Top 50 list
    1. Bryce Harper
    4. Dallas Keuchel
    5. Craig Kimbrel
    16. Marwin Gonzalez
    27. Gio Gonzalez
    40. Bud Norris
    46. Adam Jones
    47. Martin Maldonado
    49. Ervin Santana

Yeah, this was announced earlier in the week. He is dealing with a personal matter and is not reporting yet. The team is fully aware of what is going on, but not releasing what it is. They have only said the he has their "full support". Does not sound great for a guy that has dealt with some mental disorders in the past.

    Early Reports From Camp:
    • Julio Urias has been incredibly impressive thus far in camp and the team is expecting big things from him the second half of the season. He is likely to start the year in AAA since he is going to be on an innings limit this year. I have head some folks say that they think he could be all the way back. If that is the case, the Dodgers rotation could be very formidable down the stretch where he is expected to rejoin the club for.
    • Walker Buehler is on a slower routine this spring after than the heavier than anticipated workload last year. Should still be ready to go to start the season and he has no innings limit.
    • Caleb Ferguson is going to be stretched back out as a starter to begin the season, which is a good idea. He will likely start the season in AAA. His fastball and curve are both viewed as + pitches and he has worked on a change. I know there are a couple of prospect hounds that think his change is better than it is being let on, while others think it is garbage. He hardly used it at all while up as he is still learning it, but I have read that at times it has flashed as another potential plus pitch, he just needs to use it a lot more. I think this dude's ceiling is still incredibly high if he can maybe get that change into more usage and throw on a slider to vary the look on his curve ala Kershaw.
    • Corey Seager has looked better than expected early on in camp. The hip injury sounds like it has been a major factor in his play for longer than what was let on.
    • Based on some video released, it appears that Cody Bellinger may have retooled his swing a bit and gone away from such a violent approach. This should be taken with a grain of salt as that could have been his 2 strike approach swing.
    • Tony Cingrani looks and feels good this spring after injuries cut his season short. Cingrani says that his shoulder was bothering him right out the gate last year and was never right. Him being healthy would be a gigantic boost to a bullpen that is RH dominant in the back-end.
    • Kershaw supposedly had a rough first live bullpen which he was said to not be feeling great for in the first place. The team is not saying anything, just that they feel weather may have been a contributing factor as his first two bullpen sessions were incredibly positive. It has been cold and rainy a lot thus far. Kershaw took the offseason to try and regain the loss of velocity that he blames on a shoulder injury that bothered him much of last season.
    • Brock Stewart has one more option year left, which was a surprise to him and his agent. Due to him making the big leagues so quickly, he gained a 4th option year. Stewart has lost more than a couple of ticks on his fastball and it doesn't sound like he has done all that much to find out why. He says he is healthy and his loss in velo forced him to work more on his secondaries. A new found slider caused his game in AAA to take a big leap forward and he claims that he is more confident with those pitches than he has ever been. He is hoping to build his velo back up this season and put his comfort with his secondaries to good use. He is expected to start the year in AAA.
    • Sunday's game should be an interesting one to watch. Ryu will be getting the start, but behind him is going to be Stewart, Santana, Gonsolin, May and White. So our top 4 pitching prospects are all slated to pitch. Saturday is supposed to be a host of relievers.
