I wanted Javale traded, for sure. But with that said, Javale actually does things that are imperative for modern centers, like switch and hold up against wings and guards defensively.

All this fakery. When Zu wasn't getting to play much early on with this LAL group, where was the uproar then? That's what I'm asking all these new Zu fans Lol

We'll see. Their parade is corny, but corny is par for the course for the franchise that decided to adopt a shitty mascot. That they decided to bring in West after the Lakers and Warriors were done with him, that's how desperate they are to raise banner.

A whole lot of talk about how confident the Clippers are that they're getting Kawhi. Well, I'm seeing rumors that Toronto feels good about their chances of keeping Kawhi, so we're going to find out if all this Clipper talk will amount to anything (again). The report that hit before this Zubac BS doesn't paint a pretty picture..

    https://bleacherreport.com/articles...-lebron-james-will-never-wear-clippers-jersey

And apparently, the chances of him ever playing for the Los Angeles Clippers fall squarely in the "none" category.

"I was told by LeBron's camp: He will never wear a Clippers jersey," ESPN's Dave McMenamin said on The Jump on Thursday.

Muscala got hurt on arrival, but guess what? Muscala still has the requisite skill-set that FOs are looking for in this modern era. He can move his feet, make some switches and recover, and he can shoot from deep.

Know what's funny? Jerry West actually traded for Muscala before the Lakers did, so why did West trade for Muscala if he's a nothing? Logic. Things that make you go " hmmm. " Lol Did we forget that Muscala was playing for the Sixers a week before he got to the Lakers? He had a pretty good game against LAL, so how did we forget that?

Zu barely got his turn this year and did so because Javale and Chandler were dealing with health related stuff, so the idea that he was going to be contributor for LAL next year and be a commanding asset is silly. They brought in 3 guys to unseat Zu....Javale, Chandler and Moe. As hard as Zu worked to shed the lbs., his feet are still stuck in sand on defense. You get the big highlight block from him every so often, but more blown coverages in between because he's slow and that's all there is to it

Also, by trading for Muscala and Bullock, LAL increased it's cap space by a little over $10M
    Very under-reported at the time

The West factor... He's responsible for 8 of the 12 championships for the LA Lakers. Traded for Kobe, signed Shaq... Went to Memphis and they were a playoff team all the years he was there, THEN went the Golden State and assembled that championship team and now is building a Clipper team that might be the best they have ever had without a real superstar (see Griffin, CP3)…

Maybe he's salty and bitter, but you can't say that's he's not one of the best, if not the best talent evaluator over the last 40 years. I'd rather have him than our current FO "brain trust"

If anyone's going to laugh @ LAL over Zubac it should be Milwaukee since they drafted Brogdon 4 picks after Kupchak drafted Zubac.
    Outside of that, nada

The part where they both played over Zu this year until they had to miss time and he got his chance

These Porzingis/rape details. Smh The best part is how he's probably damaged goods on the court going forward. Cuban fell for the ole banana in the tailpipe.

If the Knicks end up having a big summer in free agency after evading this Porzingis mess, how lucky would they feel

Merits galore, and then he goes to work for the Clippers..like announcing the arrival of a king, and then a clown car pulls up. Smh A lot of teams had a shot to bring Jerry in after the Warriors decided to move on from him and a lot of teams passed. We'll see if any of those merits matter to star free agents this summer because what's on West's resume most recently is trading his team's best player in successive seasons, and watching assets like this year's 1st round pick fly out the window.

Sign Griffin to a big contract, tell him he's a Cipper for life and then trade him 6 months later? Let's see what the business is like this summer. How much shit is Magic getting for trading D'angelo and getting rid of guys who aren't even on the level of Griffin or Tobias Harris? That may be funniest thing about this..that Jerry would actually be doing the same thing Magic is doing because he's currently doing it for the Clippers, trading the now for the promise/potential of bigger and better later.

Comical to mention Magic and West in the same sentence when discussing GM's. I'm pretty sure West had HIS choice on where to go or retire, right? I'm pretty sure that sharing the building with the Lakers and doing better than them makes West happy for sure.

Facts are facts. You asked the question and you respond to the facts presented by throwing Luke under the bus? Does that make you anti-Luke now?

I wanted Zu to play more early on in the season, but not 25 minutes a night or anything. He's too bad defensively. 15-18 minutes a night would have been the sweet spot. But the fun part is you just threw your guy Luke under the bus here when Doc Rivers is playing Zu even less, so I guess it's Doc's fault as well that Zu has slow feet, right?

You're losing your marbles over your Serbian brother Zu, borat. It's really OK, though, Divac couldn't cut it with LAL either, but he still had a productive career. Keep your head up. RIP Nipsey and RIP Laker Zu

No. Doc got zu in late, and hes found a role for him this year on a team that's far exceeded expectations. Hes not going to tinker with what's working.

Bet he averages a lot more minutes next year.

The bottom line is thus front office has proven it has no idea what it's doing. The zu trade is definitely part of the overall ineptness of magic and pelinka.

What would've really made Jerry happy for a spell would have been rejoining the Lakers, which is what he wanted to do, but the Lakers turned him down. If they had a laugh over making the playoffs over the Lakers, cool. I'm only calling bullshit on this Zubac stuff. It's a given that they need little victories, they're the Clippers.

As for mentioning Magic and Jerry in the sentence as GMs, that's sort of the game now. They're competing and will be compared. Even right now. Jerry came in and immediately traded superstar Chris Paul instead of convincing him to stay..but fans are bashing Magic because he didn't convince a yet to ascend Randle who was benched in his final year to stay? Hell, Jerry traded Paul, Griffin and Harris one right behind the other and is selling the same thing Magic is selling - superstar free agents. Would the Clippers be a better team today if they had kept Paul, Griffin and Jordan? Yes. And that's what some Laker fans are moaning about right now, right? Not being better right now.

There's one clear difference between what's going on with the Lakers and what's going on with the Clippers..the Clippers were able to stay healthy this season and the Lakers weren't. That's it. Both of these teams have been shedding talented players over the last 2-3 years in order to make space for championships caliber upgrades and the Lakers are further down the road having landed LeBron. That's where the two teams stand. This narrative that the Clips are trying to build before FA, that they're doing things differently, is corny.
