Looks like Toronto could be losing GM Ujiri to the Wizards

That's ok. The individual games are just as unwatchable.

Bunch of guys jacking 3s and trying to draw fouls. It's awful. I don't think I actually watched a full 48 minute game last year.

If Kawhi Leonard joins Lebron and AD on the Lakers I might boycott the NBA next year. With everything wide open and next year setting up to be thoroughly entertaining that would absolutely ruin it.

    Uh. And? Bye. :laff:

Tilman Fertitta has grumbled about the contract of Chris Paul, according to sources that spoke with ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Fertitta has expressed regret over Paul's four-year, $160 million max contract to staffers of the Rockets and even in front of rival executives.

    Tim MacMahon@espn_macmahon 44m
“There’s too much damn turmoil.” A look at the frustration and internal friction the Rockets face as the franchise tries to figure out how to get over the hump

Definitely don't see D'antoni as the guy to figure it out. Denver and Portland feel like the competition for next year.

He was right about what was going on with the Lakers from the start.
    Obvius hyperbole.

i love both of these posts
    was a huge lakers/nba fan
watched west/chamberlain, showtime, kobe/shaq, and all the years in between -- successful or not
used to go to 15-20 games a year at the forum
    but something did change
it wasn't the move to staples, the loss of chick, jerry moving on, phil, shaq and kobe moving on, the buss children, et al...
    but yeah, something changed...
in the last three years i've probably watched 5 games -- and none last season, despite thinking i would with lebron's addition
and i'm not even sure what changed but the game doesn't appeal to me the way it once did
i'd like to say i'll watch this year, but (despite who they add) i'm not sure i will

4 hours in and they're still in the parade. Kawhi taking that first flight out after probably. Kobe should offer Kawhi his helicopter, that'll put him over the top

Lol Kellerman on BSPN explaining why the Lakers always get their man yet the Knicks never do. Because that's just the way it is, MF. Deal with it. Whether it's free agency with Shaq, Kareem orchestrating his own trade from Milwaukee, swapping Gasol brothers, etc. Whether it's West, Kupchak or Pelinka/Rich Paul. Doesn't matter. We get the top big man. Dibs. Suck it

Yeah it's some spectacle. They know how to celebrate. Nobody from the NHL hoisting any trophies so they're out in full support. Looks insane out there. 2 million they say.

That said, I hope they lose Ujiri to the Wiz right after the parade. That'll get us started on the right foot with Kawhi. Draft is coming soon so that news should be coming around the bend quickly. Surely, the Wiz would want Ujiri selecting their guys or perhaps dealing Beal

Yup. I was most engaged, ironically, during the Smush years.
    It's not winning/losing.

And I used to like watching the other teams play too.

But the playoffs were, for the most part, unwatchable. The game has changed. Too many people trying to play from the free throw line.

Should remove the 3 pt line, or move it back to 30 feet

All fouls should be sideline out of bounds.
After your third foul, each foul comes with a 2 minute penalty, where you have to sub out of the game for two minutes (no power play though).

As much as I DESPISED Kevin McHale, Bill Lambeer, and pre-Laker Karl Malone, I don't recall any of them ever flopping for a foul call. Can't say the same for Lebron, and he's the face of today's NBA.
