Tonight's loss would have been worse than the Renfroe grand slam game.

The beauty of this forum is that I can be on the road, check in here and understand exactly what you mean without watching the game right now... shit I don't even know the lineup and I can tell that barnes and taylor are having a good game... ratpack bkitches...

Truth- I don't even really check outside for news anymore unless its trade deadline and shit...

    Thanks DSP

Yeah, Kenley was atrocious, but why doesn't Roberts understand the concept of the short leash? After Sborz gave him the scoreless 8th, Roberts should've let him end his debut night on that high note. But even in letting him pitch a second inning, Roberts should've had him on a one runner limit. Common sense.

I had no problem with him going another inning, but I would have pulled him after the walk. Let Baez finish it.

That will go as a Jansen save, but considering the walk, rbi hit, and two well struck balls by Posey and Belt, throw in that call at third, Idk how much shittier a closer can look.
    Oh sorry...yeah, a grand slam.
    Forgot.
Interesting how this plays out against CO.
Or maybe interesting is the wrong word.

It'll be tragic if this organization doesn't make moves to improve this sorry ass bullpen.

All the good we have elsewhere will fall to waste led by our egotistical choke artist of a closer. Does anyone really trust him to get critical outs vs the elite in the postseason? Hell no. Even when he was at his best, he failed us big time vs a bottom of the lineup hitter in the WS.

We all closers here.... well that's just because most of us are too old to go more than an inning or two.

I never said Kershaw should or would be moved out of the postseason rotation. I only said he can't be trusted there because he has failed repeatedly. Same with Kenley. I doubt they'll move him from the closer role even though his is a mere shadow of his former self and getting worse every passing day.

However I will say Madbum looked horrible yesterday. But no worse than our bullpen trying as best they could to hand the game back to the Giants. But that's apples and oranges.

That's fair. And after yesterday my support of him doesn't look so good.

The only negative on Posey is that he's a Gnat. Otherwise, he's one of the good ones - the type of sports star/ role model that our society could use more of. I have no problem with him making an issue of the game changing blown call. Just glad it went our way, because sadly Jansen needed all the help he could get.

my only problem with posey is how he (and bochy) vilified scott cousins
the reason posey got injured was because was in poor position to receive the throw
i mean, who the fuck takes a throw/blocks the plate on their knees [homo]?
cousins did what he was supposed to do (before the rules changed)

He was way out of position. Hate to put it this way, but Posey kind of deserved that.

I’ve seen way more violent home base collisions that resulted in no more that getting your bell rung.

    This x 1000.

TBH, I’m not even all that mad at the rule change itself, but this being the catalyst to the new rule was disgusting. MLB didn’t like a “star” getting blasted? Fuck that. The dude was out of position.

Buster might be a good guy off the field, and the guy can rake at the plate - but not taking responsibility for that play is an insult to anyone who has ever played the position.

I know two former college catchers (and Giant homers) who both thought that shit was all on Posey for his positioning.
