Seriously, this would have probably sunk our season... if he hadn’t done something else first. This is his 4th incident since the deadline if I’m not mistaken.

Yup, as you said, boyo...the throw was epic. but I couldn't stand the dude as a Dodger player.
    Either.

The 4th incident for Vasquez? Is that right? Then he's just a low life scum sickass criminal and shouldn't be playing in a professional sport that keeps one of it's greatest from enshrinement for gambling.
Sounds like hypocrisy to me, mofos.

Shit is going to be really interesting as we now have 3 teams within 1.5 games of the two WC spots and 3 within games of first in the NLC. Cleveland keeps taking hits to their roster so it could be tough for them to pull it off, but them being in it till the end could pose issues for the Nats. 6 against the Tigers and WSox could help keep things interesting and a Dodgers 2 game sweep of Tampa could end up impacting their first round matchup if they can maintain HFA in the NL. A 3 way tie for the NLC that results in a 4 way tie for the WC would be semi epic.

So it wasn't criminal stuff, but mostly altercations. I believe he got in trouble for something with a teammate like a day after the deadline. Then he had a run in with a coach or staff member of some sort that got him suspended. Then the was the fight last week that ended up ending the season of a teammate who pretty much called him a piece of shit after the fact. Then this whole thing today. He very well could be experiencing some sort of breakdown of sorts as I could never remember him really doing anything wild before. Though he could have been an instigator in an earlier Reds/Pirates fiasco.

Well, if he's guilty he'll probably go to jail for a while and then be deported to Venezuela. I'm not sure which is worse.

All I know is I'm happy the Pirates are getting screwed. That's what you get when you pillage and plunder and rifle and loot at the deadline.

Changing subjects.... Man, I totally thought Puig was gonna just go off this year. I figured he would be so locked in for the entirety of the season and try to get some big ass contract. Instead he has put up his worst full season of his career and is likely setting himself up for a prove-it 1 year contract. He hasn't been terrible since the trade to the Indians as his avg/obp are up, but his power numbers are bad. The guys the club got could still end up being nothing, but even if they do, it was still a great gamble by the FO. Combined WAR of the 4 players traded is .4 with Kemp DFA'd, Wood out again from injury after only 7 games, Puig traded then stumbling in a playoff race and Farmer (also out for the season) has put up great numbers at home while being abysmal on the road. Only negative out of that is Homer Bailey has been useful, but he would not have broken in to our rotation at all. If one of Gray or Downs hit their ceilings, this trade will go down as a tremendous move. If both hit their ceilings, we could be talking about an all timer.

Bond was denied for Felipe Vazquez. The judge says he expects more charges to be filed.

Stripling is being moved to the pen and is expected to be on the postseason roster.

I was working that day. Good friend got me a job working in the press box.

It was definitely a Saturday game. The next day's game was the Mike Marshall-Herb Washington game, the only game the Dodgers won in that Series.

What a moron. With his celeb status and money, he'd have no problem finding "women." Why mess with a 13 year old girl? Truly is a sick fuck.

he should be fined whatever he has in the bank and have his contract revoked
then tossed into gen pop so they can take care of it but that won't happen
no way he can get away with this though
how do people live w themselves?
he might as well have kidnapped her and held her in his basement
he truly needs to be made an example

Hilarious how Joe Torre didn't allow the Mets to wear 9/11 hats because "we like to keep uniforms consistent" but he allows those pathetic players weekend uniforms and fugly designs on every holiday.

So at 24 years & 67 days old, Belli is the youngest player in NL history to hit 45 HRs in a season..surpassing Willie Mays, who was 24 yrs & 131 days old when he hit his 45th HR in 1955.

Belli probably won't get to 50 and surpass Shawn Green, but Willie Mays is a pretty solid consolation prize

    @Yankees
Prior to tonight’s game, Domingo Germán was placed on administrative leave by the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and placed on the Restricted List.

    Ouch!

Yeah, the Angels being terrible is in no way linked to Trout. He is the best player of a generation and he is being fucked by an inept FO. Now, I have no problem with the Angels sucking and am quite thrilled with the whole thing, but let's not blame Trout for this. The dude plays one position out of 9 and can only do so much on daily basis.
