A bit surprising Dodger Blue: OFFICIAL: Clayton Kershaw will be starting Game 2 of the NLDS for the #Dodgers, while Hyun-Jin Ryu will follow in Game 3 against the Nationals
Dave Roberts was on that team. Four out of that class panned out. Hopefully at least 4 of the current crop pans out but the other 3 guys have good shots as well. Lux fills the Ethier role of a family friendly matinee idol that delivers consistent above average production (Beaty has promise as well). While Verdugo (if he fails, Rios is next) is the star type who may have more of an edge and the capacity for big athletic displays with the bat that wow the fans. Will Smith is in the obvious role that Russ Martin filled. Russ who is still on the team will probably be managing the Dodgers when the 2033 crop of rookies is ready and he is becoming the new Dave but hopefully more in the Lasorda style. With May as the big flame throwing pitcher who strikes a ton of people out like Broxton. Those 4 guys should be locks to have productive careers. Gonsolin panning out and/or one of Rios/Beaty somehow breaking through would be a great feat. Like the previous Yankees dynasty. Lux could be one of those Jeter types.
The vegan milk replacement Seager is probably taking has not fully assimilated the proteins his body needs to hit lefties as well as he did before his lactose intolerance surfaced and he could drink 100% whole american milk like Joc does.
12 months ago, I may have recognized only Verdugo of all those rookie faces. Now, they're all familiar. Kind of crazy to think how many rookies had an impact on this season.
I was going to go but my dental appt. went long and now I just don't think I could make it on time plus that vike, the pain and...tomorrow
first game is going to go long hope they have an alternate stupid to schedule the games right on top of each other
