The fact that the front office backed Roberts so quickly shows he's the right lap dog for the job.

    still in denial/not getting it...
    • “Clayton is a pro. He’s probably the best pitcher of our generation,” said Roberts. “For him to make himself available tonight and got us out of a big spot right there and it just didn’t work out. So there’s always going to be second-guessing when things don’t work out, but I’ll take my chances any day on Clayton, and it just didn’t work out right there. I just felt that the way he was efficient, I feel great about running him back out there for two hitters. With him, it’s not about analytics. It’s about, he’s one of the best pitchers in the game and for him to go out there and throw four pitches and to go back out there and get two hitters, I felt really good about that. So it’s more of, I don’t think it was an analytic question. It’s a guy that I believe in, and I trust and it didn’t work out. Clayton is the best pitcher of our generation. To count him out or think he can’t do something, you’re not going to hear it from me. I think the thing is for us is just making sure that we keep him healthy, and that credit goes to him and the training staff, strength and conditioning staff. He’s curtailed some stuff as far as his workout regimen but the mindset, the will, the desire, compete, there’s just no parallel.”

Best pitcher of our generation?? The best pitchers perform in the biggest moments and Kershaw is the biggest choker of our generation in any of the big 3 sports.

How can he even say shit like that? The guy is so fucken delusional and cost the team two World Series with his incompetence. If not for his mismanagement of Kershaw and Kenley, the Dodgers might already have two rings and on the verge of a third. I hate him so fucken much and I hate the front office for backing his dumb ass.

And Guggs choked last offseason. The perfect opportunity to ditch Kershaw's choker ass came and they choked.

Same can be said of their deal with Roberts. His deal was up and they signed on for more of his ass-kissing.

A culture of choking from the top all the way down the players

Opening day will be rocking. Our Dodgers will lead in attendance once again. Fans will be sporting jerseys, shirts and caps. Little kids will get their first glimpse at a ball park and all the souvenirs that go with it. Overnight at Dodger stadium, meet n greets, fireworks and bobblehead nights will continue. Dodger dogs will be sold. Spectrum will still air commercials. The Dave Roberts and Clayton Kershaw redemption narrative will be thrust forward simultaneously with the future/potential emerging young stars one.

They will be good all year. They will win the NL west. They will once again choke it away in the playoffs.

The cash will roll in. As long as it continues then it is a success.

Over a billion valuation increase since we took over.

Dont mean to toot my own horn here, but look what Forbes said about us

The Dodgers had operating income of $95 million last season, the most in baseball. Such richness is a plus when, as in the case of the Dodgers, the owners are in the process of selling small stakes in the team to limited partners. The new investors will pay more if they believe a dividend is more likely than a capital call.

    Why change what is working?

    sincerely,

    GBM

my guess is the Latino fans swilling shit tons of beer at $15 a pop is a MAJOR revenue producer as well
I like suds as much as the next guy but I'm not in line buying 6 more in the 7th
bless their hearts the management has to love these guys
we can buy the same exact beer for no more than $3 at the gas station
which means the Dodgers get them for maybe $2?
straight greed and the food sucks
throw in the absurd parking rates and I may truly have attended my last Dodger game (I know I've said it before) gay
but even if they spend wildly on Cole and others its still going to be the village idiot calling shots
or worse he never even got the chance to call the shots
but no analytics driven decision maker puts CK out there for Rendon
I think davey is just that stupid
and what's the point in investing another dime or more of my time when its always the same?

Would be one thing if they had signed a guy like Harper and used that as justification for gouging fans. But A.J. Pollock? It just sucks because an average guy like me can't really afford to go to a game. Then with the TV debacle I can't even watch at home. I sometimes wish I wasn't a fan at all because this shit really is heart wrenching. I feel like that fag in Brokeback mountain - I can't quit the Dodgers.
    I know, homo.

Dave Roberts is in a league of his own, honestly.

You know you're a fucking moron when:

    1) Donald Trump can unite the country on Twitter calling you out for your idiotic in-game decisions (see taking Hill out in game 4 of the 2018 WS after already committing that sin in the 2017 WS)
    2) You can get ESPN, Fox Sports, Dan Patrick, Jim Rome, and all the other mainstream sports fkags to stop talking about the NFL and NBA for entire segments to discuss your ineptitude.

His stupidity on levels that literally transcend sports coverage. Same for Clayton's choking.
