Went to the Muncy walk-off game with the wife in early August. Dude comes strolling by with large cans of 805 beer for $18. I'm thirsty, but I'm thinking I can get a fucken 12-pack for less than that. Greedy motherfuckers. Like @THINKBLUE said, fuck them all... from the top down.

IIRC, from what CKWG said he heard before the season, some higher ups in the FO were happy when Kershaw opted out because they felt they could move on. And then the call came down from over their heads that they weren't ready to move on from the nostalgic/fan favorite BS. Not in Kersh's case, anyway.

All to say that, yeah, it wouldn't shock me if Friedman wanted out. If he were one of those execs that was happy to let Kersh leave..yeah

That rumors sounds like something that’s probably true. Friedman isn’t in the habit of handing out $90 million contracts, so it’s doubtful Kershaw was in a place to be the exception.

What pisses me off is that I hate all player options to begin with, but then a player uses it for leverage when he didn’t even perform well enough for the remaining contract he had? Fuck that. It’s like Kershaw decided he was going to opt out 2 years before the option, and never took a reality check in those 2 years.

That said, I wasn’t opposed to Kershaw picking up the option by any means. But the extension was clearly the team throwing money away.

Their usage of him doesn’t back this line of thinking though. If they actually felt that way why do they keep putting him in these high leverage opportunities to fail over and over?

So they can pay him less next contract.

Because he asks for the ball? Did he not ask for more money and get it as well?

I said this elsewhere, but our problem may stem from this false notion that these people actually care about winning a World Series. It would seem very clear that they do not when they pick AJ Pollock over Bryce Harper.

It may or may not have been Friedman though, so..just something I thought I'd relay. But yeah, Kersh tookem to the cleaners last offseason. Robbed the vault and he didn't need any Ocean's 11 theatrics. Just stickem up in broad daylight. So weird because I seem to remember reports that Kersh took less money when he signed the first time, that they wanted to lock him up on an even bigger deal. I don't believe Friedman was around for that bit of business.

But I mean, Kersh did just sign a shitty shoe contract with Skechers, so he's grabbing cash all over now. The ping pong deal is probably next. He is a giving guy, and giving usually does need company from getting, so maybe that explains his recent activity? He's getting out of character it'd seem..perhaps something he should think about tranferring to the field.

Nancy was a million times better than the guy they have now. Cannot deny his musical talent. But the insufferable "let's go Dodgers" riff after every pitch needs to die. Also, Nancy's organ sounded much better. I cannot speak in musical terms but it had a distinct sound that instantly made you feel like you were in a ballpark. Dodger Stadium sounds like a basketball arena now.

    Couldn't agree more.

I don't mind his style at Kings' games, but it's too much at Dodger Stadium. Could also do without the scoreboard blaring out "make some noise."

Watching the fucking Nats pick apart the Cardinals just makes me hate Roberts & Co. even more. Should have been an easy WS appearance and now the Astros and Yankees are beating each other up and the fucking Stros don't have any viable lefty pitchers right now. What a fucking a joke of a coach this mother fucker is.

If it wasn't for this fucking idiot, we would be in the World Series. how they don't have the nuts to fire this incompetent asshole is beyond me. All he had to do is bring Kenta Maeda in for the eighth inning. Literally all he had to do. I am so freaking disgusted with this franchise.

I can't imagine sitting through another entire regular season just to get back to the nlds with the same manager and same roster.

You can scratch Maddon off the list. He's going to the Halos on a 3 year deal. They probably get Cole too. Of course, Roberts isn't going anywhere anyway
