He had a great year. And he definitely got screwed over in '16. Glad he beat Cole's punk ass out

It was the Rockies and Brewers if I recall. Ill have to do sime digging but if I remember correctly, they were accusing the Dodgers of using video to steal signs. Dates back the NLCS last year and then this year.

We’re probably gonna get exposed too..

Yes, the Rockies have been very vocal that the Dodgers are stealing signs. One of the Redditers in the initial threads after the announcement said that his Rockies contact also said that a certain team on the west coast (with our exact record) are big cheaters. The Rockies are the only ones that have come out and said this.

    I know what a punk.
He learned that shit here but never used it with us and instead used it and shared it with Houston.

Houston gonna come out and say they learned it from watching us win a bunch of pennants by stealing signs and just wanted to pay us in kind but got addicted to the rush.

Honestly, if we get exposed I’m good with us getting heavy punishments too. Ban Friedman for life if he orchestrated this. Suspend Bellinger and Turner. Take picks. Anyone involved in a cheating scandal should be punished harshly.

I guess if its of "scandal" proportions but cheating has always been a part of the game
stealing signs from second base is gamesmanship
spitballs, nasty slides and all that bad stuff
as clever as it should be, banging trash cans viewing a device feed is pretty crude
I thought it would be mics in helmets and hi tech devices in the hands of secret agents w sufficient subterfuge
not sure how anyone gets caught
I mean you can typically watch the signals on tv w the network feed
hell I bet they have devices that can be in the shoe of the batter pointing back to the catcher
if someones doing that kind of shit I agree the punishment needs to be severe

I always assume the TV feed is delayed slightly. Even 5 seconds would be too much. But yeah, why use whistles and trash can banging? Why not use a small vibrating device sewn into a players batting gloves? You would be almost undetectable and you could limit who knows about it.

yeah I was meaning to initially decipher the signs and then a vibrating signal from a guy watching through a binocular
    would seem impossible to detect
so maybe the Astros were caught because they have pinheads thinking up the trash can lid thing
still not sure how the yankees could have openly complained and we didn't have anyone watching out for trash can noises and oddly timed whistles
Davey was probably busy thinking about the White House

    • Multiple reports tonight saying the Dodgers have shown strong early interest in Anthony Rendon.
    • Word is players AND teams have no interest in a repeat of last year. Many teams have hinted that they’re gonna have their rosters wrapped up by Christmas. A certain agent may have other ideas, but we’ll see.

Retract the Dodgers from the league. Fuck, I don’t care. God knows it will free up a lot of my time, lower my stress, and maybe I can meet this little kid who lives in my house and keeps calling me “daddy”.

I may have said this but Carlos Beltran and bench coach Alex Cora (manager of the 2018 champion Red Sox) were teammates on the Mets and MLB is believed to be seeking interviews as they are apparently the ones who devised this sign stealing operation.
