    not sure what's more appalling...
kershaw actually getting cy young votes or finishing ahead of buehler in the voting
    • Clayton Kershaw received one third-place Cy Young vote and finished eighth. His Dodgers teammate, Walker Buehler, was ninth with one fourth place vote.

    ^speaking of appalling...

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman felt Seager's 2019 season was a “great success,” and added...

“When you miss that much of a previous season, to come back and do what he did speaks volumes to his ability,” he said. “I’m very bullish on what he will do in 2020, having been back now for a year. I think there’s gonna be another significant step forward.”

Technically, Kershaw had a better season.

I'm not sure what is he trying to do. But to be clear his eyes move first. That's why I step off.

    @ChristianYelich
Be better than this. Nobody needs help facing you

And Yelich puts the little bitch in his place. Awesome.

ERA and WAR were better for Kershaw. Same WHIP. I know Buehler is actually better, and in the playoffs Buehler was better by a mile. But Kershaw’s regular season was good. Par for the course.

Beyond that, it’s more like a legacy vote. Kershaw has been around and has a body of work (regular season of course), and Buehler is a newbie....at least I think that is what the voters are thinking.

I can't think of a more appropriate nickname for CK than Flounder.

Well, they each got one vote, so it’s really just the opinion of one or two voters.

He may not need help, but if help was going to line his pockets and win a game I'm sure he'd take it

Yelich didn’t read the follow up tweet by Yu where he said that didn’t mean that he was stealing signs. So Yelich came out looking like a major asshole.

I understand the hostility towards Yu but he’s handled his post 2017 career as well as humanly possible and seems like a good dude. Yelich is kind of a dick.

Maybe it's petty to still hold a grudge against Yu, but I just can't get the lasting images of his terrified face during those awful starts vs Houston out of my head. Just absolutely shit the bed in a fashion I'd never seen from a pitcher of his caliber. We have seen some horrific stuff by CK, but Yu couldn't even last 2 innings in either start. And then he proceeded to follow it up by saying his goal is to beat the Dodgers when he signed with the Cubs. Mission accomplished, you already beat them in the worst way possible.

    Agree with both of you.
The "my goal is to beat the Dodgers" was lame but Yu has otherwise been humble, if not overly apologetic to the fans for what happened.

Clayton is who pisses me off.
Not just the choking, but he NEVER mentions the fans.
It's always, "I let down my teammates"
I understand that he's coming from an athlete's perspective (he has a bond with them and has to face those guys every day)...
...but how can he not utter a single word about the 3,500,000 people in the stands who show up every year to see the same result?
Fans pay the cable subscription fees, concessions, parking, etc. that keeps you a millionaire 300 times over.
Do we have the freedom to stop consuming the product? Sure (and to a degree, I have).
But we do it because we love and support you guys.

Not only does Clayton come off as dismissive, but hostile toward the fan base.
I can understand a fringe player who gets booed on a nightly basis hating Dodger fans (POS Reddick comes to mind).
But Dodger fans are loyal to Clayton to a fault. He should have zero beef.

Not to undersell what these players go through to become (and stay) the best players in the world, but it's the fans who invest the most emotional and financial capital in this game.
And he could give two shits about us.

    I'm done with this dude.
