Bryant is right..and with that said, can't bring myself to give a damn about what any of these Astros are saying in their apologies. Media is pretty much holding a gun to their heads, so even if they were to dish out the greatest apology you've ever heard - probably wouldn't be sincere, anyway. Whole thing is a clown show

Just hope Boston's part in it all was indeed minimal - since we now have Mookie. Don't need anymore leaks or reports from the Boston side of this. Let Mookie have a peaceful year in LA without bums side-eyeing him in the clubhouse

Just here to say, I’ll go all Reese McGuire if it involved me getting to watch footage of Carlos Correa getting a career ending 102 MPH fastball to the face, his cunt ass wife pushing him around in a wheelchair crying, “this isn’t fair!” over and over again as her husband struggles to speak in constructive sentences and then ends with her hanging herself from the depression it all caused her and their family. I’m not going to be civil about this, I want careers and lives ruined. Fuck these cheaters and fuck their woe is me fucking bitch brigade.

Normally I would say keep your rage contained to DSP where it's welcome.
But this is a special case.

Getting banned from Twitter is a reward. Twitter sucks ass, it’s just a bunch of circle jerkers and trolls, with the occasional premature news story mixed in.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the asterisks are just enjoying this. They may well know nothing they say will make people like them again and now they’re embracing being the bad guy

Honest to god, I’m Howard fucking Beale at this point. I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore. I love baseball and I love watching it, what the Astros and Manfred have conspired to do, pisses me off to no end. People keep saying, “it’s just a game. It’s just a game” then we get “it’s just politics, it’s just politics”... when are people going to finally say, “this shit is life and we shouldn’t put up with the bad people anymore!?” Frankly I’m fucking tired of it at every god damned level and I’m not gonna feel bad when bad things happen to bad people. If cheating is the way you get ahead in life, then you’re a bad fucking person and you deserve bad things to happen to you(not saying YOU you, just people that live by that belief).

In politics and in life, you at least get some say.
You have a vote in one, and the freedom to make the right choices in the other.
Doesn't mean you'll always get what you want, but you get the picture.

In sports fandom, you're not so fortunate.
You have zero say in who the commissioner is, and even less control over what happens on the field.
The absolute only way you can make it known that you're fed up is to stop consuming the product...
...no more MLB.TV, no more spring training, no more merchandise, tickets, etc.
Your only recourse is completely giving up something you have loved since childhood.
    Sucks, huh?

As you know, I was at game 7.
I woke up that morning with the idea that my dad and I would share the experience of watching the Dodgers win the World Series live.
We've driven 605-5-101-110 countless times over the years.
I remember saying to him, "We used to drive 20 miles 15 times per year to see guys like James Loney and Ron Coomer run around in the dog days of summer. It's November and we are on our way to game 7 of the World Series right now. Holy shit."
We were last on the totem pole in the group we shared season tickets with for 12 seasons, and the only reason we had tickets to game 7 was because it was the least likely game to be played.
I thought it was fate, perhaps.
I had no idea when I was driving up the freeway early that afternoon that we were suckers in the midst of the biggest cheating scandal in baseball history.
So I feel the pain, Colorado.

Up until recently, there was a bright side to losing in game 7.
I knew that as far as sports was concerned, I would never be more crushed than I was in that moment.
Games 2 and 5 were the most gut wrenching games I have ever witnessed. So many HRs, juiced balls, rallies, long ABs, hope, and defeat.
    But game 7 felt different.
Games 2 and 5 made me physically ill.
Game 7 almost gave me a strange comfort in knowing the worst had come and gone. The storm was over.
All I had to do was recover, and I would never experience anything like October 24th-November 1st ever again.

    And that held true.
In 2018 and 2019, I slept like a baby after our pathetic performances.
    Why?
Well, because my original fandom that I formed as a child DIED on November 1st, 2017.

You see, in erasing the pain of 2017, I didn't realize I also had to erase my genuine affection for the team, too.
This was a compromise I was at peace with...UNTIL NOW.

Until now, I was convinced the Dodgers simply deserved to lose that series.
But knowing we were cheated by the Astros...I'm not at peace anymore.
I didn't voluntarily let my fandom die after all.
    The Astros literally killed it.

    That's the consequences of cheating.
And FUCK MLB for allowing it.
Fuck Tom verducci for his softball interview.
Fuck Brian Kenny for still slobbing on the Astros knobs.
And fuck Carlos for having zero shame and self-awareness to keep his mouth shut.

But don't wish Carlos to be paralyzed.
They just might get what they deserve eventually.

always wondered how people just cheat and shrug their shoulders like its no big deal, life goes on
almost like "what did you expect?"
it can be for the most mundane of things as long as they come out a little bit ahead
some smart guy once said the world is a vampire
not surprising but fuck the world then
    man needs to have integrity

If these sons of bkitches are as good as they say they are then put your money where your mouth is!!

Step 1 - All the players coaches and front office personnel on the Houston Astros need to bet $1 million dollars each that they will win the 2020 world series. And brag about it in the press. Tweet about it. Make T-shirts about it and make a mini documentary about it.

Step 2 - Ban them for life for gambling.

Boom. We got em' boys!

He essentially cloned Hinch's argument by saying Manfred says they didn't, so they didn't. People must not know how to read properly. Can everyone in the world not read Manfred's investigation report?

That Jack ass Manfred created this bull shit

I watched a good chunk of the Correa interview:
    • He says he’s sorry and that he cheated, but then goes on to make excuses as to why none of it mattered. He acts more like a victim than someone remorseful.
    • He says the players didn’t know about Codebreaker, but then rips Cody for “not knowing all the facts” - I find it interesting that Correa didn’t know the depth of the cheating yet claims to know all the effects. Idiot.
    • He breaks down every AB in the 2017 WS like a psychopath, explaining why their cheating had no effect. His claim is that many of the ABs had a guy on 2B so the Dodgers were disguising their signs and it would be too hard to decode them - but again he said he didn’t know about Codebreaker, and he claimed as a team they worked on stealing signs from 2B.
    • He claims there was no cheating in 2018-19, Ken Rosenthal calls him on it saying the report says there was cheating in 2018, Correa shrugs it off saying he didn’t know of any cheating in 2018. Also worth pointing out that Kurt Suzuki was pretty sure they were stealing signs in the 2019 WS, the most recent games they Played.
