Driveline is a program that will help any baseball related goal. Id be interested in finding out what his goal was.

Always bugged the shit out of me when Jansen would do that Louie Tiant-Johnny Cueto 180 turn when he had runners on second. No reason to do that. Just fucks with your other mechanics.

Why Kershaw can't (or doesn't want to) work a change into his repertoire is a mystery for the ages. Wouldn't hurt Kenley, either.

Luis Severino to miss the remainder of the season to have Tommy John Surgery. That is a MASSIVE blow to that staff. Also, thank god the Mookie trade happened when it did as this would have given the Sox a bit of a window.

I think Jansen finally realized that he needed to knock it off. When he did that it was rarely a strike and when it was, it was a fat pitch. As for the change, some throwing styles just don't work for them and comfort with the finger placement is something else. For Kershaw I had heard it was a mixture of both.

Oh, that’s big. And I’ll also add it’s probably about the shittiest time of year for that to happen. He’s be done this year and probably part of next

Both Jansen and Kershaw have this kind a long windup/slight delay or hitch when they throw.

I don’t think that kind of motion is sustainable.

A more compact and smooth motion might work better for the long run.

Yep. With the 15 month time frame, they are looking at June/July of next season at this point and really 2022 for impact. I remember when they gave him that extension, I thought it was a steal and now the first 3 years of that thing could be a mostly lost cause. They lost 14 percentage points on chances to win the division after this, but they are still the favorites by a good bit. They still have a solid rotation as is, but losing your #2 hurts big time and with how little depth they have, they can't afford to lose anyone else.

I like this post because I like the Dodgers. I root for injuries for players that are my Dodgers direct competition. It doesn't make me an animal. It makes me honest.

Silverino will enjoy his millions while playing fortnight. Good gig.

Severino pitched 12 innings last season and the Yanks won 103 games.

He's definitely a talented arm but I don't think this changes much for the Yankees.

Actually, I’d like everyone on the Astro’s pitching staff to get major Yips including Verlander.

I volunteer my services to comfort his Mrs.

The fact that she sleeps with someone as ugly as Verlander and talks the way she does has her down to like a 5 in my eyes.

Instead of a game 3 against Paxton, you’re getting Tanaka. That’s where this becomes the biggest issue for them. Plus, with Paxton’s injury issues over the course of his career and into this season, it becomes a cause for concern.

But she has a couple of assets that raises her to at least a 7.

I see your point with Jansen. Not Kershaw. That motion has served him well despite its quirks.

JT’s hands seem awfully low. Worked for the double but dudes gonna get beat up top. It just seems different from years passed? Idk.
Kinda drunk in AZ at the moment so shrug..

Sure it does. Yanks didn't win it last year. Silverino is a top 15 MLB arm and that arm is broken. Adding Cole AND Silverino would have been a huge boost
