Pff. Why shouldn't he? Cy awards haven't stopped Kershaw from choking in the past. Look, this dude has choked pre-sign stealing scandal and post-sign stealing scandal. Harsh truth. Pretty sure we had a 3 run deficit on our hands after his 1st 2 innings of LDS work just this past postseason..and this time he introduced a new flavor with his choke job - the HBP. Took the MF nearly 30 pitches to get out the 1st inning. Making 30M+ per - get through a couple innings without fucking up.

Never want to see Kershaw starting a playoff game @ Dodger Stadium again. Feels like LAD is always trying to fight back from multi run deficits after 1 or 2 innings with this guy. At least let our guys hit 1st and maybe we can get a lead for once - before he gives it back

I think Bizarro Universe must not only be in Superman comics.
Looks looks there's a few versions around. Enough to validate any spin bullshit that can come up, about anybody or anything.
I was trying to imagine what would happen IRL if anything posted on here, especially the mantra drone of boring hatred, meant even a tiny turd of difference on how the team is actually handled.

If Kershaw is one of the top candidates for Cy Young, then I have no problem with him starting a playoff series. I hope our problem in the playoffs is deciding who to start in Game 1 of a series because we had multiple pitchers look amazing.

You know that's just a cute story, though. There's a reason most of us wanted to trade for Clevinger and slot him in @ #2 behind Buehler. Don't give a damn if the season is around the corner - nostalgia can kiss my ass - I haven't forgotten. We need a postseason #2 starter @ the deadline. Relying on Kersh is the definition of insanity.

It's a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question. I'm hardly relying on Kershaw, but he's 3 years younger than Verlander was when he went from declining vet to otherworldly, so I'm not going to say I can predict the future with 100% certainty.

Tough comparing a guy in Kersh that's gonna be throwing 90 MPH by October to a Verlander that has one of the all-time golden arms. Old as he is - Verlander's velo is still humming. Even when Verlander was struggling - disinterested and pitching like shit Detroit - his velo was still bustin in 97-98. Whereas, on the other end - we have a Kersh that's hitting batters in the postseason while trying to gear it up a couple extra ticks.

Now, if you tell me Kersh has broken his arm and magically become Henry Rowengarner..

"Did you know? Seager didn't match his pre-Tommy John production and missed time with a hamstring injury, but his strong finish could be a sign of things to come in 2020. Over his last 40 games (from Aug. 11 on), Seager led all shortstops with 40 RBIs and 16 doubles to go with a .920 OPS (fifth among shortstops) and 10 home runs."

I'm impressed with Urias' ability to put together a strong outing despite introducing Calhoun to jello.

So Frankie Lindor says he's done trying to get a long term deal done with CLE.

Go gettem. Mamba mentality. They may as well get Clevinger's hurt ass, too - they know they love that MASH unit action.

Seager + Gray + Rios is a solid start
