Havnt seen anything that really concerns me from Kenley . Cutter has more movement compared to last year and he needs to have better command.

For the most part so far he is producing weak contact and keeping ball in park. Giving up HRs last year was a huge concern coming into this season.

so what I am trying to say is he looks better than he did last year.

his command, as you alluded, is what concerns me
    misses his spots a lot
and without the velocity he once had, he doesn’t have a large margin for error

Sadly I don't think there's an alternative to Kenley on the roster.

He rarely hits the target these days, which didn't matter as much when he had the great movement on the cutter.

Dodger defense is underrated. Not a lot of spectacular plays, but they make the fundamental plays (last night's mysterious relay by Kike aside).

The final play last night was a perfect example. Taylor got behind the ball perfectly and made as sound and accurate throw as you could make.

Are you fucking joking, or do you need stronger glasses and misplaced them? Were we watching the same game...
you saw nothing to be concerned about ? Hit after hit, and only a great, classic play saved his lucky ass...
That's like saying the Poles thought the Nazis were out for a Sunday drive on Sept. 1st, 1939, and didn't look like a threat when they crossed the border.
That ninth was an abomination of a performance for any pitcher, and moreover, exactly the opposite of what a closer gets paid for.
Your entitled to your opinion, but if that's what you come away with about the way Jansen looked, then I realize your opinions on things are clownish.
Like someone is pissing on your head and you think it's raining...

Watching Ryu pitch last night, I have to wonder, again, why he wasn't considered worthy of signing again...he looks better than ever. He went deep, gave up nothing, and halted a Jay slide.
We don't need a guy like him on the staff ?
I don't know about Kershaw, looked tremendous last outing, but, imo, Ryu looks as good as anyone else on the staff.
I see Verdugo hitting HRs, but realizing you have to give up talent to secure a guy like Betts for your team, it's a necessity.
But Ryu? Kind of a head scratcher, for me at least.
Oh yeah, forgot about LH Wood. Can't wait until he's of the IL. Watching him put that grapefruit up there to be pounded is always fun.
    Like Kenley's "cutter".

Keeping Ryu wasn't about performance, it was about availability. Major roll of the dice to sign him to a long term deal.

Hate to pull up stats considering it’s been only 6 innings for him but I will to give more context to my words.

he is goat producing weak contact. Yes his velocity is not what is use to and pitching from behind count is gonna burn him . He needs to be better.

4 years and $80 million for a guy that has basically been Dreifort 2.0 idk
if he stays healthy its a steal but w the young arms we have i'm fine w that decision
Verdugo is going to be good but that was actually his first home run of the year and his first 2 rbis
didn't want to see him go either but that back issue sure was a long one for such a young guy
Wood is cheap extra arm but yeah not my choice either
nothing about him makes a fan confident and that motion can't be helping his durability

Pull stats all you want...if that was weak contact, especially Machado's line drive out that initiated Taylor's perfect throw, then I'm Johnny Wadd.
Amazing how people can look at what's before their eyes, and actually talk themselves into seeing the opposite.
But reading some of your posts on other subjects, it seems to be your forte.
He may get everything back eventually, and I hope he does, because he's the Dodgers closer, but what I see, and didn't see, is wnat it is. It doesn't change that based on the past or stats, that is for people like you to pretend it didt happen.
Things change. Muncy had the best eye AB I've seen in years. Now he's a chump at swinging at garbage. Looks like a confused rookie up there.
Turner had some of the best contact in the zone in MLB, not to mention his two strikes hitting ability...now, he looks as clueless as uh...well...you, actually.

Statistics are used much like a drunk uses a lamppost: for support, not illumination.

Wonder what Vinny thinks about this season?
Or maybe, he doesn't even think about bb anymore, ever.
    I could see that.

Max leads all of MLB in plate appearances so far with 63 and Turner is close behind at 59....a much needed day off for them since Doc will never bench them despite their huge struggles lately.

Clocked at 93.3 Not bad for kind of a short armed infielder's throwing motion.
