no need to save Urias for a future start if this one is winnable. Especially the way Tampa bay set up their lineup with tons of lefties, Urias can carve them up even for 2 innings, or at the very least get them to insert righties for our righty relievers to face off against.

Tony for 3, Urias for 2 isn’t a bad idea and game 4 you flip that or figure that out then.

Hoping for at least five. He's capable of it.

Kershaw was saving himself for when the lineup could give him support.

If Gonsolin can go 5 and we have a lead, then put in May, Treinen and Kenley to close.

Buehler goes game 3, and Urias opens game 4.

He wasn't taken out while pitching. The Dodgers were batting, Kershaw had his arm wrapped so the intention was for him to pitch the 7th. It was after the Dodgers had been batting for a while and got up by 6 runs that you see him unwrap his arm and guys start congratulating him, the only thing was no one was warming up in the bullpen yet and there were already 2 outs (if I remember correctly). I don't want to beat it to death though, it is what it is.

That's crazy, along the lines of Reggie Jackson having more WS HRs at Chavez Ravine than any Dodger. Hopefully by the end of this series, Dodgers will lead in both categories (Isn't Turner one HR shy of Jackson or was that Garvey?)
That threw me too, but eventually I figured it out... they meant Kershaw was pulled with one DODGER batter remaining in the TOP of the inning, not giving enough time for Floro to warm up.

Edit: How the hell did two of my unrelated posts get combined?

id be floored if he went 5, I think they’re looking at 2-3 and happy if they get more than 3. With literally everyone in the bullpen available, including May/Urias, you can use Tony one time through order then use relievers. Tony/Urias/May/Brusdar/Treinen/Jansen gets you 9 innings without having to push anyone beyond 2 innings with Victor/McGee/Kelly/Baez as backups

    From an analyst:

A key for Blake Snell is coercing chases. He threw his breaking balls within the zone less frequently than any other qualified pitcher during the season; the Dodgers, meanwhile, expanded the zone the least often among teams. Could be a long (well, short) night if they won’t bite.

Well there we go! Not even going to bother watching and booking in the tattoo.

Might as well discuss how many snowflakes are going to bail on meeting Trump at the Whitehouse.

I really want to see them let Gonsolin get the start and see how far this dude can roll. He was cruising in his first Braves start and then just lost it, then may of had nerves going in game 7 after May's rough start. Hoping he can come in tonight and find that consistency that made him so good this season. Him somehow getting us 5 tonight would be HUGE and allows for the pen to be set up to lock things down.

Give an assist to the ump on the one. Should have been 1-2, setting up the split, but missed the call
