Kawhi - " We need a point guard " ..Report: Clippers pushing for Russell Westbrook Lol The dude said POINT GUARD. Damn it I love the Clippers
Clippers are run by Clippy inside Microsoft Office playing fantasy basketball picking players based on stat and positional ratings.
Let silly season begin.. Shams Charania@ShamsCharania Rockets’ Russell Westbrook wants out of Houston, sources tell@TheAthleticNBA@Stadium
Lol For my viewing pleasure alone I want Russ to land in Milwaukee. Nevermind the fact that he'd run Giannis out of Milwaukee. Before that happens it should be pretty fun watching them attack the rim together in the reg season There's really only one place for Russ to win that elusive NBA championship..and that's beside LBJ. Because LBJ can carry damn near any burden. Of course, Russ doesn't understand this though
Here we go.. The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly have "interest" in a blockbuster trade that would send Kyle Kuzma and Danny Green to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for DeMar DeRozan. Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer reported Thursday it's one of several potential moves under consideration by the Spurs, with LaMarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills also on the trade block.
And I believe it has real legs because Pop loves Kuz Gonna need whomever taught Rondo how to shoot the 3, to teach Derozan
A star, no doubt, but yeah..not a great fit. They can find a better fit, or maybe they can't? Maybe teams are done helping us - again? Lol I mostly just don't wanna help out Popovich, but landing Derozan probably still keeps LAL in line for another championship - if they're in solid health. I'd be pretty shocked to find that LBJ and AD can't carry Derozan to a chip even if he's not an A1 fit. Is Kuz an A1 fit? Nope. Should add that if AD is gonna keep shooting like Larry Bird, Derozan should find some space to work inside and do what he likes to do. Just hope it doesn't make AD too comfortable floating around outside. Really don't need him to become Anthony Embiid. But as I said above - looks like the Nets are probably gonna struggle defensively. Derozan could take advantage of the Nets. Question is - how would this affect the way that LAL fills out the rest of the roster?
Still looking at the Nets as our chief competition - mostly because I just find it hard to believe that GSW's core is gonna do anything else given the history of the game. They went to 5 Finals. Unless you have a LeBron, Kobe or some other Top 10 all time player, you're more than likely tapped out after 5 trips. Curry's been great, but don't think he's close to Top 10 all time. We'll see what they're able to do on the trade market Anyway, as the Nets are currently constructed, we're probably going to see Durant playing his share of minutes @ PF or " stretch 4 ". Their best lineup is either going to have Durant at the 4 or even 5. Kyrie/Dinwiddie/Levert would be their main perimeter guys. Deandre Jordan and Jarrett Allen the centers. All to say that Aldridge would likely have his hands full with either Durant - if Aldridge is at the 4, or Deandre Jordan/Jarrett Allen - if Aldridge is at the 5. Aldridge isn't really the dirty work type so he'll be muscled by Jordan and likely outhustled by Jarrett Allen
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania Lakers guard Avery Bradley tells@TheAthleticNBA@Stadium he is changing representation and plans to sign with agent Charles Briscoe. He is evaluating whether to decline his $5M player option. Think we know we don't need him. But we could use him. Another guy like Rondo, not really known for his shooting. The power of the open shot. If Derozan can just step into open shots like Bradley and Rondo....
Brad Turner@BA_Turner Sources: Lakers worked out Arizona point PG Nico Mannion Tuesday in Arizona. Lakers VP of basketball operations/GM Rob Pelinka was among Lakers at workout. A little carrot top action?
