Does anybody remember what he had to do to overcome this issue the first time? Was it surgery? Did they ever state what the cause of the irregular heartbeat was the first time?

if it's what I have, and when it was described initially, it seemed exactly the same, they may attempt a cardioversion, ( shock the heart muscle)which should regulate the beat to normal...I had two of them, I know others who have had more. When mine did not solve the problem permanently, they decided the best thing was an ablation, where they go into your heart, and purposely create scar tissue so that random electric impulses are rerouted to a regular pattern. Then meds. For me always.
I don't see how he could get right back to playing in either situation.
THAT'S if it's an afib thing. And I have decades of age on him, so the considerations may be quite different.
However, I am much better looking.

always appreciated the man put his life on the line out there
just never quite understood why when he's got a young family and seemingly more to live for than a baseball game
has to be a tough change when the cheers stop i guess

    Agreed.
But it's tougher when your heart stops.

Not sure what caused it, but didn't it flare up a couple of times in Colorado?

He's latin, irregular heart beats are as normal as Chads are in European cultures.
    He's just milking it.
    The medication makes you unmotivated.
To say the least. Literally takes your heart and makes you tentative.
    He knew his heart.
It was a little out of control but he could harness and work around the movement because he knew how it ticked.
Now his heart is more regular but he doesn't know when it's gonna fail him because the pills block the crucial pathways that communicate trace sensations that allow you to modify your thought patterns.
So there are times when he will feel anxiety and pressure all of a sudden when it's too late to change your head space and you got nowhere to go to find peace of mind.

my bro in law had open heart 7 years ago and the anxiety makes him no fun at all
went to a wedding on memorial day w him and we had a lot of fun drinking all the high end whiskey at the bar
ended up staying in his hotel room that night laughing and acting like idiots
next day we got up early took our suits back and went for something to eat
he passed out on the street and fell into my back
somehow managed to hold him up so he didn't smash his face on the sidewalk
turned around and as he's laying there i asked him if i should call an ambulance and he says no
so i tell him to get the fuck up off the ground then and he did
i was actually angry cause i know his become a dithering hypochondriac as well as a hardcore alcoholic
so i get what you're saying about people w heart issues and all that
haven't had a drink since that night and think its going to be a while before i do cause it made me sick
i feel like he wanted me to feel sorry for him
are you saying that's what Kenley is doing?
on the heels of a humiliating loss and blown save to his former team?

    I think that's what he's saying...or not.
Anyway, just in case it is, I need for you all to feel sorry for me, too.
    It's a movement, you see.

    Not really.
More like he is taking advantage of the MLB rules to not work on his personal habits.
Fire people don't need stimulants to be hot.
    That's for ice people.
Food is stimulating as are many things excess money can buy.
    All that weakens the soul.
Weakens the knees and the gut.
    And even your sacral joint.
That's a bone you don't want to fuck with.

I don't think kenley is consciously doing anything. But then again he might not be conscious about what he is doing if he is under the influence of a chronic heart pill and a chronic junk food addiction and poor physical discipline or genetics.

I had surgeries and then went on pills for years. I completely changed and became another person. I started on them around 2014.

I'm still getting rid of him but it's been a process.
I stopped taking the pills a year or so ago and I'm getting back control of my own heart.
Old friends flew in and took me to a Dodger game a few months back.
All of a sudden like in the 5th inning my stomach locked up and I felt a muscle get tight around my esophagus and then my heart went crazy and I couldn't look at anyone in the face because of the feeling of absolute dread and because it felt exhausting to keep my eyes open.
When it began I was sweating like crazy and excused myself to the bathroom but on the way there I started to panic as it came on stronger.
I found a bench in a corner and sat there with my face to the wall trying to tell myself to get under control.
But a staffer saw me and asked if I was OK and I faked a brave face and made something up but I wasn't convincing because soon after that the paramedics arrived.
I assured them I was fine and made my way to the bathroom. It took me like 10 min before I could go back in public but I just wanted to go home.
Then again I hadnt drank that amount of whiskey in years either.
And then there was the Kratom.
    Never doing that shit again.

    Pain pills?
I never took those on purpose
When i was a kid I took a ton because every aunt tried to be witch doctor.
My liver and stomach was fried before I hit puberty.
Doctors always had me on stuff too.
I stopped taking all kinds of medicine as soon as I became an adult.
Relied on tequila to sleep and Jaeger to eat.
Before that stopped working and I started smoking.
About 8 or 9 years ago maybe when I was being strangled from the inside daily the ER in LA gave me a mix of pain killer and muscle relaxers.
I took it for almost a week.
Felt so good I stopped taking them cold turkey.
I had four strokes that very evening.
Cracked my head open on the fireplace on the first one.
Then on the second one I was getting off the toilet when I went forward bareling into the side of the tub.
Fell down thr back stairs on the third one trying to call for help before I lost consciousness.
The fourth one I can't remember anymore.
    Oh yeah the.living room.
i didnt hit my head on the way down that time so i think i got up relatively quick.
the first one i was basically paralyzed for like 30 minutes with onlynthe use of my mouth and one eye..

Then that's how they got me to accept surgery and going on heart pills.
I'm closer to my normal self than I have been in years.
Not physically, that ain't coming back.
    But emotionally or whatever.
Getting off of heart pills fucks with your brain much like getting off of Xanas.
Your body don't know you after that.
It's like if you are estranged.from yourself.

roberts, on why jt continues to bat in the heart of the order…
    • “I’ve seen some life the last 10 days. I really have. The ability to drive in a run, to work a walk or run a count is valuable. So right now, where I see him, I just think it’s justifiable to have someone you can trust to have the right at-bat quality. I think he’s third on our team in runs batted in. That’s still a skill that I value.”

The Freeman agent drama isn't ending. Now the agent is responding with claims that the allegations are all lies, and that every offer was presented.

FF needs to restate that he will no longer comment publicly on the agent or his time with the Braves, because he doesn't want any distractions for the Dodgers and their quest for a championship. That would be the professional thing to do.

The Peanut Man, aka Roger Owens, has been told not to throw bags of peanuts any more by Levy Concessions.

    Liability issues.

    Just shoot me.

i thought he was shut down a decade ago
when i first saw him he sent lasers behind the back across sections
last time i witnessed a bag toss it was basically a lob from 10ft.
    what a shame

it's the strangest thing i've ever seen in any sport
if i'm Friedman i'm talking back channel w the braves to see if they'd be interested in trading straight up for Olsen
if CK had to say that then its pissing off the entire team and rightly so
