Sure would be nice if the offense got a run here

A win is a win. Even more so in the playoffs. But SD has to be thinking that if they can rally tomorrow behind Darvish they take HFA. I hope Kershaw is stellar and the bats that disappeared during the latter part of tonight's game come back strong. Today was critical, but tomorrow is a pretty important one too.

Some of Davey 's moves seemed nutty and weird, but it all worked out in the end...As we were told ad infinitum,
Dave doesn't like to leave in starters after they falter to whatever degree. So, OK, that's his M.O.
But will the BP be worn to a nub in no tme ?
If a starter doesn't have it, I imagine the phone rings for guys like May and. Heaney for length...has to be the plan, doesn't it ? Hope they can give it. Idk.
Graterol threw one pitch, Almonte didn't go, Treinen (?), and Kanhle are up for tonight, I imagine. So, it still looks pretty good as far as actual use. But it's the general formula that's worrisome.
Equally worrisome is the complete zero O after the third inning.
Huge ditto from from Betts and FF.
    Gotta get something from them...something.
    We usually suck against Yu.

Julio was just good enough. Would have liked to seen him go another inning, but the previous inning against the bottom of the Pads' lineup was pretty shaky.

Bellpen did what it usually does. Phillips had some shit luck with the Manny infield hit, but he was equally fortunate Meyers' shot was flagged down by Lux. Martin was his efficient self, but that last pitch which Kim popped up was one Kim should have crushed.

Hopefully TT is shaking off his postseason blues from the past. Almost shit myself (not uncommon at my age) when he double-clutched on the double play.

The lack of offense after the third inning was troubling, but five should be enough with this pitching staff.

If last night's results are to be believed the Bellinger final week surge against the shitty Colorado was a mirage. He looked like the Belli of the last two years last night.

other than Ferguson that's the only change i'd make Outman>gallo every day and Thursday
and i don't expect Yu to freak but all the pressure is on that guy

freddie 7-for-22 with 2 hr against yu and trea 6-for-17 with 1 hr is encouraging
but not one other position player is over .200 against him
and our LF platoon of trayce, ct3 and gallo is a combined 0-for-18 with 11 k
we need to find a way to go 2017 astros (just puked in my mouth) and give him flashback nightmares
