How much money can be spend on draft picks 11-40, is it unlimited or did they put a cap on them as well?

The limit is $100k per player, if they go over, the amount exceeding $100k counts against the bonus pool for rounds 1-10.

The bonus pool situation is kind of in limbo with 4 of the top 6 picks (Vandy guys, Funkhouser and Sborz) still unsigned and the bonuses for rounds 8-10 are still unknown, but likely well-underslot.

The bonuses for the 8th and 10th round picks (Tommy Bergjans and Logan Landon) have been released, the 2 signed for a total of $20k, putting them $289,100 under the limit, that of course will be allocated to Buehler, Funkhouser and 11th rounder Imani Abdullah. 9th round pick Kevin Brown figures to sign for under slot as well.

It's bs because the players have too much leverage
In every other major sport you get paid where you're drafted ain't much negotiating or balking at offers and going back to school. So teams can actually go bpa

7th rounder Andrew Sopko has signed as well, $147,500, $31,100 below slot. Putting them $320,200 under the limit, but their is a 5% cushion which adds an extra $389,084 without losing a 2016 draft pick. So they actually have $709,284 extra to sign Funkhouser, Buehler and Abdullah.

    • Jon Heyman of CBS Sports begins hears that No. 35 pick Kyle Funkhouser is strongly considering returning to Louisville. Funkhouser was once looked at as a potential Top 10 pick, but he fell to a slot with a $1.756MM value. He’d have less leverage in 2016 as a senior sign, of course, but he could certainly improve his draft stock and his bonus with a big senior year.

9th rounder Kevin Brown signed for $2500, $153,400 under slot. About $865K extra to spend now.

The 4 unsigned picks in the first 10 rounds after Buehler and Funkhouser all figure to sign for under slot based on their BA ranking in relation to where they were picked. 6th round pick Edwin Rios is unranked in the BA Top 500, and 7th round pick Brendan Davis is #496 in the BA rankings.

Walker Buehler is pitching for Vandy right now on ESPN.

He's been absolutely filthy in the first two innings.

Provided that Buehler doesn't want too much over slot, or the 4 picks I mentioned previously save an extra $300K or so, they can petty easily offer Funkhouser $3M or so.

5th round pick Brandon Davis has signed, the amount is unknown, I would imagine that it will be well-under slot given his borderline top 500 BA ranking, and he being picked 162nd overall.
