White and Alex Hermeling (non-prospect) combined for a 7 inning no-hitter.

    White: 4IP, 0R, 3BB and 5Ks.

White was the front half+ of a combined no hitter.
He went 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 BB and 5 K. All the walks came in the 4th as word is he started to look tired. Sounds like his FB sat 95-97 and his secondary stuff was impressive. A few of the Dodgers bloggers went/watched on TV and we're gushing about this kid. Should be fun to watch, but hopefully he can build up that arm strength. He is throwing harder than he ever has, and was only a starter for 1 season. He's going to have to work on some things to maintain that velocity and work later into games.

Some good news out of MiLB this week is most of the Dodgers Top Prospects got off to nice starts. Just for reference, I use this site( http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2017/#list=la ) for prospect rankings when I'm talking order. It is just easier since it's free and user friendly. Maybe @irish and put it on the first Post since there is nothing there right now?
    - Bellinger 7-17, 3 2B, HR, but the dude has K'd 5 times already. He really needs to clean that up
    - Verdugo 5-12, 2 2B, 3B, 1 BB, 2 K
    - Calhoun 5-12, 2 2B, 1 BB, 1 K
I'd like to see Calhoun and Verdugo work more walks this year, but still maintain the low K rates. Both have great bat to ball skills, but they have a tendency for weak contact when they're just trying to put the ball in play. Calhoun has apparently been working on using the whole field more as he has been known as a straight pull hitter.
    - Diaz is 1-10, he ran hot-cold last year, hopefully he stays healthy and has a big year.
    - Toles is up with the big club and we know how he is doing
    - Mitchell White, read the post above
    Others of note
    - Edwin Rios is off to a nice start, that will be great if he can improve on his big 2016 6-17, 2 2B, 1 HR, 1 BB/2 K
    - May had a rough first outing, but apparently he was working in the mid 90's with the FB. That's a great thing to hear.
    - Carlos Rincon is viewed by some as a sleeper prospect in the system. He went 4-12 over the weekend with 2 HR's, one of which was an absolute bomb. At 19 he still has a long way to go and 5 K's are a hint why.
    - Dennis Santana is another guy to watch, 3.2 3 H, 3 K
    - Brendon Davis got off to a nice start 6-11 3 2B, 2K/2BB. He needs to have a good year and hopefully see his way to Rancho here soon.

He may not last long in Rancho, same with White. I think there's an outside chance we see both this year, though it may not be in a starting roll.

Both are getting rave reviews and they both were college pitchers with success. Those guys tend to move fast if things start to click. Buehler especially since he would likely have been a top 10 pick had he not gotten hurt. If Stewart can make that climb quickly, two guys with better stuff and higher ceilings can certainly do it as well. Obviously it depends on health, but I could see both getting 7-10 or so starts in Rancho and if they are dominant, they'll go to AA. Many teams view AA as a big test for pitchers and if they succeed there, they only need a couple starts in AAA to be ready for the jump. They may choose to slow play them, but my inkling is they're going to get a shot this year.

Both have the hype and stuff to make it happen, but that's such a big leap in one year, especially considering both might be on innings limits (particularly Buehler) but definitely ready for both to be top 50 prospects next year and debut.

Yeah I can see us churning through pitchers
    most of dubious durability
so some fresh meat is good
IF they can pull their weight

Still bummed about losing DeLeon but its a business

Hope Urias shines more this year

Dude is straight dominating. Maybe they try to stretch him out to 6 before getting him to AA

No walks by the @okc_dodgers pitching staff tonight. They’ve walked 1 of the last 101 batters. Not a typo. 1 of the last 101. #dodgers

I just perused minor league individual stats. I know it's still really early, but a lot of guys in our top three levels are off to hot starts. A lot there to be excited about.

@ColoradoKidWitGame how many ABs do you think Bellinger needs in AAA before he's ready? And what is he working on in particular (other than facing better pitching)? Working on his swing and miss? Going the other way?

I know we can't expect anything more than a late summer call up but it'd be awesome if he bursts onto the scene and takes someone's job. Like Seager to Rollins in 2015.
