Diaz is another one to keep an eye on. The club made some adjustments to his swing and he absolutely took off in the second half of the season after getting moved up to AA. He has star potential if he can get everything to click into place.

I have both of those old fashioned devices because I cook over a wood fired stove like an animal from before the internet times.

We have electric but no natural gas.
I do have to pump my water up from the city to the tank near the house about twice a month for a good 45 minutes each time.
I like to burn trees in the hearth.

Honestly, I'm still in shock we got Kendall. I totally thought he might end up the #1 overall pick this time last year.

They fucked up when they let this org's player development staff get their hands on him.
Watch him end up being better than Kemp.

That is going to be really interesting to watch. I feel we now just assume that our staff is going to turn him into a stud since they have done it so often, but really, if they can turn him into the player they think he could be, ohhh my. His upside is higher than any of the players that came before him as a legit 5 tool prospect with ++ or +/++ tools in multiple categories. He'd be coming in with the next wave of guys that would likely be a time when new complimentary players are needed to fill in around Belli, Taylor and Seager.

It is weird, but I have seen multiple bits in the last couple of months that mention that the Dodgers system has really thinned out. Not sure if that is assumption or what, but then you read up and it is "this guy looks like a stud" and "future star" there. They currently have 6 Top 100 prospects and the guys on the cusp ain't bad either. Outside the Top 100 within our system are guys like Lux, May, Heredia, White, Peters, Smith and Rios. That is a ton of depth and upside still within the system. When you look around the league, we are one of the only top teams around that has graduated a lot of young talent AND are still loaded with more on the way. The Nats have Robles, but could be losing their 2 best players in a year, all the Cubs major pieces are up with the club already, the D'Backs have nothing coming and the Rockies have a stud in Rodgers, but he comes up and probably gets one year alongside Arenado. The Dodgers have a great chance to be here for a while and make damage. The goal was to do what the Braves did and win the division year in, year out. They are well setup to do that.

I am trying to find it, but have had no such luck. In the midst of the start of the playoffs and all that, there was something on Gavin Lux a few weeks back and how he looks like another potential cornerstone player in the system. It sounds like the kid really turned a corner in the second half of the season with Great Lakes after making some adjustments at the plate. Word is that he looks like a kid who could develop into a force with the bat while playing above average D at SS. He and Kendall are probably 1A and 1B for players to watch going into 2018. If one hits their ceiling, the clubs future is in great shape... if both were to hit those ceilings, the Dodgers could be a juggernaut in a matter of a couple years when Seager and Bellinger will be entering their primes and Corey is ready to slide to 3B.

I said this earlier in the year, but if our bullpen is the reason we lose this season, it is going to fucking suck. We are basically in the last year where you can look at our farm and say... "the arms are coming". So many power arms on the brink that were just a little too far away.

Prospect reports started dropping today. I'm expecting the team will fall somewhere in the 8-13ish range in baseball, but that is really a guess with not much merit. We are top heavy, with a lot of untapped potential scattered throughout the system. Feels like mostly boom or bust in our top 30 at this point.
