Kendall...Mostly positive reaction from scouts and writers on Twitter. The guy looks like a great athlete. Baseball drafts are tough to judge anyways . The fan in me just rolled my eyes when I saw a LH hitter who K's all the time. Gotta wait and see but the FO knows what they're doing. I don't hate it as much as I initially did. Top 5 ceiling they're saying. Could bust, but so could anyone. Some saying it's a steal.

What's there to dislike about drafting Kendall? From everything I've read, he should've gone higher, like top ten. Sure, the strikeouts could limit him, but that's what time in the minors is for, to bring down his K rate. You know what you can't learn in minors? Speed. And we could use a little more of that.

Trouble is that speed isn't a priority in this day and age. I've always been a guy who likes speed and base stealing but I'm old school. I was hoping for a pitcher but not sad about drafting Kendall.

Speed is still a good tool to have even though the stolen base isn't highly regarded anymore.
Of course there are other ways in which the speed tool can be applied..range in the OF, taking the extra base, against the shift, etc.
The 2015 Royals had the label of being a very athletic team, part of what carried them to a title.
Pretty sure one Cody Bellinger is going to score all the way from 1B a few times in his career..pretty valuable tool for a 1st baseman ( although he's a natural outfielder as well)

    Round 4:
James Marinan, RHP, Park Vista Community HS, 6'5" 210lbs DOB: 10/10/98, will show a 70-grade fastball at times and his size and arm strength will keep scouts pouring in as the draft approaches.

Without knowing him in depth he's probably a Austin Barnes clone.

He is Mormon so he went on his required 2 year mission already thus his advanced age. Inconsistent velocity is his issue and his delivery needs work according to Mayo which is curious why we picked him. They think he's a reliever not a starter that he has been at Utah.

Sweet! A team can never have enough Mormons in the dugout, doing the hump dance with Kike and shit. Good times ahead.

RHPs are dominating our draft. Guess the FO saw it as a need.
