Not some of them, most of them, and Joc and Puig have had multiple instances where this happens both going back for the ball and coming in towards the IF.
In fact, Puig has had these instances occur with more than just Joc in CF..there was a couple times last year with Trayce in CF and Toles as well where Puig almost flatlined them both.
    Puig is the constant here

He is but he doesn't seem to have this problem with his infielders.

He and Joc are both rockheads.

No I am not trading Joc just because he may not get along with Puig, I am just trying to realistically find viable trade scenario. If we want to keep Verdugo and add Martinez/Stanton then we got a crowded OF. I would love to send Taylor in any of these traded but you and I both know that is not happening. Most likely in any trade for an OF either Verdugo is going to go or an established OF from the roster, so that is Puig or Pederson, of which Pederson has the higher value now.

Nope, the 3 I have seen, one with Taylor in LF and two with Puig in RF, each time Joc's mouth was shut. Not a peep came out. The dude is not calling anyone off. I get that it may be hard to hear in a stadium full of 55K fans, but when your mouth doesn't even open......that is all on Joc.

If I recall, he was taken second round, right after Zach Lee (of Chris Taylor fame).

    Yes he is.
Constantly good fielder having to cover up for Toles and Trayce who are not that great in the field.

    Yep, fielding well
    FIFY
    Yep
Yep. Note that Puig actually makes the catch every time. Someone else slams his face into the wall. Someone else gets hurt. Puig makes the catches.

OK he's a cabbage head but the boy has some "D" skills

    So not every time.
    He tried there though. Lol
Nomar got cut off in the end, but he was about to say that Puig shouldn't even be calling for that ball at all and of course he's right.
Even if you don't hear Joc call it, or you're calling for it at the same time and that's why you can't hear the CF calling for it..not only does your CF have his hand up giving you the signal to ease up, but the ball is clearly hit to CF.
The smart thing to do, while you're coming in, would be to take a couple glances at the guy that's actually playing the CF position to see what his situation is with a ball that's hit in his zone.
And when you glance over and see a hand up, circle around behind him and back him up..that's it..it's not exciting and we know Puig wants to be exciting, but just do it.
It's not just that Puig is a cabbage head, he also doesn't really care.
    Is it surprising?
How long did it take for him to grasp the idea of simple stuff like hitting the cut off man?
He's built like a tank, so a collision doesn't matter to him, that's for puny humans to worry about.
Just like the video shows there..ball hit to CF, we see Joc ranging, got the hand up and BOOM!..outta nowhere Puig comes tap dancing onto your television set/CPU screen.
I believe that Puig, in his mind, is the center fielder.
This stuff probably won't happen much when Verdugo is in RF in the near future because Verdugo doesn't have Puig's wheels.
Now, that was obviously once instance, but it just highlights the reckless abandon Puig plays with.
That ball in that vid above wasn't even the tough 50/50 type of play where the ball's hit in the gap and guys are sprinting all out and it's just hard as hell to worry about calling a guy off while you're focusing on making what's going to be a tough play.
There's no " I've got it " or hand raising on those 50/50 type of plays because you really don't have it.
You hope you can get it, but it's gonna be close.
Those plays aren't anybody's fault, really..you just have a couple OFs with good range, the ball was hit to a 50/50 and it worked against LAD, it happens

That whole pen is a mess and I think they saw what a crappy pen did to a good Giants team last year. It will cost them much more heavily to add something more elite to that pen and there is not much left in that farm to do so. The Nats are all in and if they are unable to resign Harper in a couple years, they could be in serious trouble. It will be interesting to see if they are forced to float Robles out there to get what they want.

If they don't re-sign Harper after next season they may distribute whatever they were willing to give Harper to a few guys on the market, fill a few needs that way.
    We'll see.
May sound crazy, but they have a pretty good lineup without Harper.
Gonna be tough without kids coming up from the farm and giving them some life at times, but of course they have young Trea Turner.
Murphy and Zimm will both be 34 by then, though, so maybe they fall some..or maybe not
Rendon is only 27, which is crazy to me

Giants lose again and officially end the charade of what they've called their sellout streak. Been a lot of empty seats much of the year.

Is this a variation of the "Fuck the Giants" post?

    If so, well done.
