Chris Sale with just 3 earned runs in 29 IP so far for the Red Sox. Went 8 giving up 0 with 13 Ks at Toronto today. What a pitcher.

Thats because you forgot Villar is leading off and playing 2B.
Forsythe is the super utility man.
Against lefties Forsythe can man 2B and Villar can move to LF with Braun in RF and Puig in CF.

Braun and Villar will win you a WS though, and it wont cost Bellinger.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I would make that deal. 28 year old ace with a very friendly contract. Bellinger may be as great as hyped, but you already know what you have in Sale and you get him for a long time.

All on board for adding Braun, but don't think Villar is a possibility.

    It's one way to go.
Personally, I have this bias against arms..they just fall apart too often for me.
Probably the never-ending debate in exec/war rooms

I would rather spin the roulette on pitchers like we do than let go of a home grown guy who could have a Corey Seager like impact.
If we reset the team back to right when things went off the rails due to ownership and bad deals we would be at the Mike Piazza era.
Seager is Piazza. Bellinger could be Eric Karros or he could be a homegrown Shawn Green. That is your cornerstone.

Last generation it was Kemp and Ethier.

Yasiel Puig is not Raul Mondesi. He is Adrian Beltre.
Betlre was wildly inconsistent and immature early on. He had a great rookie year and a monster second year and then become ordinary and bad exactly like Puig for a few seasons. Then he had this phenomenal monster of a comeback year in his SIXTH season. But the Dodgers were not sure if this was the real Beltre or if he would go back to hitting in the .250's and underperforming in general. Still that rocket arm, good defense, and creative flair were great in the field. That is Puig.

Mondesi was good from the get go, that dude is very underappreciated. Imagine if Verdugo can fill that role somewhat. At the very least a poor man's Mondesi.
    SVS is Billy Ashley.

    Villar can kiss my ass

Also, why the fuck would Milwaukee trade him now? Answer: they won't

none of the are good analogies
    except svs/ashley

seager is a team player, piazza was self serving
i liked karros, but if that was bellinger's ceiling he wouldn't be untouchable
beltre never made the stupid mental mistakes puig still makes
mondesi wasn't underappreciated, he was a malcontent -- he had problems from the get go, and was disciplined before he ever made the bigs

    • There’s “no evidence of any real trade talk” between the Brewers and Dodgers involving Ryan Braun, per Jon Heyman, who notes that the Brewers may feel a slight sense of urgency due to the fact that Braun will achieve 10-and-5 rights on May 24 (thus allowing him full veto power over any trade). The improved production out of Yasiel Puig could make Braun a less appealing target, as Puig himself has the ability to be a dynamic weapon against lefties if he can return to form. Even if Braun does ultimately reach 1o-and-5 status, Heyman notes that the Dodgers are said to be his preferred destination in a trade, so he could very well approve the deal after that point.

They're struggling at the gate. They have a promotion for nearly every single night this season (over 70!).

My Dad's shared season seats (Loge since 2006) have raised significantly. There's no point buying season seats when you can get 60 percent off face value on Stub Hub. They've reached the point where the fans are sick of it. I mentioned this the other day, but they have raised prices on everything. The blackout is finally starting to show its impact. Reading comments on twitter about how kids are completely disinterested in the Dodgers. 5 seasons now. It has to end. You cannot sustain your team being unavailable and invisible to 70 plus percent of your marketplace. You have to figure some thing out.
