Imagine if Grandal threw straight and Forsythe, a white man, could jump ?

So take it for what it's worth since they're all bloggers, but 2 guys from Dodgers Digest, Chad Moriyama and Dustin Nosler, said today that their sources within the org are saying that teams are persistent on the Dodgers returning either Verdugo or Buehler or both in deals. So the FO has walked away from the table for now.
Then that other Chris something or other that broke the Jansen/Turner news is saying the Dodgers have nothing going right now as well which is why nobody in the national media is talking about us right now.
It's shaping up to be a potentially quiet trade deadline.

Everybody always wants wjat they can't have. No trades for us at the deadline and we'll still be the best team.

The only pitcher worth giving up 2 of the 4 main prospects would MAYBE be Sonny Gray because of the team control. Texas can go kick rocks.

I know that prospects are never a sure thing, but as far as I can tell, neither are all these guys whose names are been tossed around as being on the trade block. They all seem to be on the downside of their careers, or having off years, or are injury prone. I want Buehler and Verdugo to star for our team next year and a bunch of years after that... not some other team. Probably Alvarez too as his pitch is explosive and he's still young and can learn to command it. I'm glad to hear the FO isn't looking to include them in any deals.

Dustin and Chad do great baseball write ups and I thoroughly enjoy reading their articles and recaps. I just wish they weren't self-righteous douche bags.

Anyways, I believe it. It's difficult to acquire impact players and the cost is often too high. The market isn't great, either. Brad Hand is the only perfect fit, imo and the Padres will ask for too much.

If it will be a quiet deadline. I would love to see some Buehler and Verdugo given an opportunity to help out through the stretch. So far you cant argue that our young guys have been misses.

Idk but I've also never seen an umpire tell a batter to move over to the batters box, as far as I can remember. And I've seen hitters stand way out there.

Semi-fun story: I once played a game in Mexico where a teammate was too far away from the on deck circle and the pitcher threw a ball at him as he stood on deck.

Now that it looks like the Cubs have righted the ship, they might as well win the central, no reason to have to play them (if they were a WC) and then the Nats.

Ideally the Nats would play the Cubs, and we would get the winner of AZ/MIL. The Rockies keep holding on to the last WC spot though.
