So, I work as a PA and was actually on a shoot with Linkin Park when they heard the news. Chester wasn't there and we were waiting for him to come so we could get the day started. They automatically left once they heard the news and their manager said it was family issues. No one really told us anything else and it wasn't until I got in the car to go home that I found out Chester had died. So sad. Linkin Park was a huge part of my life when I was in my teens. Today is Chris Cornell's birthday and the two were best friends so there's speculation today pushed him over the edge.
don't exactly feel right "liking" your post but its more of an acknowledgement of your proximity to the situation who knows what compels these folks w put on a pedestal to take their own lives on the outside it appears they have everything we could dream of but clearly inside they are dying heart goes out to his six kids and his wife, how could he do that to them?
Yeah, that's hard to understand. No one knows what kind of mental demons he was dealing with but he left his loved ones in a world of pain and with a world of questions. I liked LP as a kid as did a lot of people at my HS and i'm sad by the news, but it's a pretty selfish act imo
I watched the first couple of seasons and thought it was great. But started to notice this stuff coming hard in the third season and bailed. Thing is a friend just gave me a thumbdrive with all the seasons of this and some other shows I like. Like Better Caul Saul. So im guessing its time to watch some TV again. Saw Rogue One finally now that its on Netflix. Not bad. I got teary eyed once or twice so it did its job.
Those two and Axl Rose all have the same vocal coach. Axl was way depressive and manic for years. He found a life coach in Brazil and is now a lot better
If that's the case, the best thing to do is divorce your wife, buy a parking lot, and sell a baseball team for a billion dollars profit.
Man, I don't know if you can understand suicide unless you're in it. It's something I don't get, but it's an affliction that reaches far beyond celebrities. It's a sad way to go. Thoughts and prayers to Chester's family and those close to him. It became an inside joke at an old job that I was a big Linkin Park fan. I like them well enough, but not a huge fan (I wouldn't sit through a Transformers movie for them). Sad news.
I think there are probably more of us here that have been close to it than want to admit it life comes at you in waves and moments and you have to clear hurdles falling in love w your sadness leads to madness so everything we live and work for ultimately leads to a bitter end if you choose to have a family especially you owe it to them to soldier on imo the man had infinite access to help if he wanted it and as a sober (at times) 12 step member he knew that he needed to ask for help and humble himself
And in other horrible, incredulous occurrences, witnessing the SF Giants sitting on the actual GoT throne, especially Pence and Bochy, made my heart fall to unknown depths. I don't know why they were there or any details, as I looked away in disbelief...what kind of world is this?
