Lol. Cmon man... literally not anyone can just be a "healer". They're learning some shit in medical school bro. I work in healthcare, not an MD but work with some pretty bad ass nephrologist and there's no way you can just heal the peeps without being learnt some shit...

The cost of school is what's keeping the gifted minds out of medicine.

Do they have reading comprehension doctorates where you went to school?
I never said anyone can be a healer.
Never said you don't need an education to be a healer.
I said something sorta like that (that you grossly generalized and took to a different context) about the pedagogues not the medics.
We used to have medical schools, now we have doctor schools.
Of course your nephrologists friends are bad ass.
But do you think he needed those 16 years of college and hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans to become a bad ass nephrologist?
I know they learning some shit in medical school bro.
I used to work in healthcare too, and I knew nurses who were way more skilled in the art of healing than a lot of the doctors they worked with.

I had a bad ankle that no doctor could do anything for. One day a cousin took me and my crutches to this old man that used to hang out at the soccer parks in north hollywood. The old man talked to me for a few minutes while he put some ointment on my ankle and then pulled the joint apart and stuck his thumbs into the open joint and basically performed surgery from the outside in. He rearranged ligaments or tendons I don't know what. It was excruciatingly painful and I let out tears in front of a bunch of dudes. He promised me I would play basketball again but I could not even walk and it had been months since my injury. While I sat there in pain as he continued to talk (he never stopped talking and looked me straight in the eyes the whole time as he held my foot and held this conversation) the old man lets go of my foot and tells me to go take a drink from the fountain. Im like WTF im dying here. He said it will be ok. So I go for my crutches and he says that I dont need them. Again im like WTF i need my crutches... I cant even get up without my crutches because I cant put any weight on my left ankle. He says get up and walk. So I get up very carefully and... im able to stand. I get super excited and take a step. It hurts but I can put weight on my ankle. I take more steps and I walk to the fountain carefully and drink water. I start to turn back and the old man says to drink a little more, its important. So I drink more and start walking back. On the way back I can feel the ankle stronger and the pain less and less. We talk for a bit more and I promise to take him out to a steak dinner the next week.
I go home with a small limp and some pain but without need of crutches.
In 3 days I am shooting the basketball and starting to rehab my way back to playing strengthen my ankle.
I went to dinner with the old man and he told me a bunch of cool stories.
And I gave him 20 bucks. I was a kid so a steak dinner and 20 bucks was a big deal. It was more than I spent on a date to get laid.
I learned he used to be a ref in the professional soccer league in El Salvador. But even the pro leagues in that country didn't have doctors and chiropractors. He learned how to put bones back together by doing it thousands of times on the soccer field.
Not everyone needs to go to school to be a healer.

Now I wrote that big long story the way I wrote it so Irish can have fun editing it.
I can just imagine Irish's mind working as he reads every line.
    Go Irish!
Not Notre Dame, screw those humpbacked papists!

i went to county hospital during one of my hernia emergencies and the dude poked at my hernia hard, made it worse
then he gives me 3 drugs
i take them for a few days and feel like superman so i decide to stop taking them
a day later i pass out and fall on my face 4 times in the span of a few hours breaking my nose on the fireplace, my jaw on the sink and a piece of skull when i fell down stairs, the last one luckily was in the living room hall where i spent like an hour unable to get off the ground or move yet i can talk and am actually more eloquent than normal, but i cant move any limp or one of my eyes
just my mouth and one eye
that drug cocktail was lethal, when i told the nurse at the pomona valley hospital the drug combo they gave me at the county hospital the dude was like... they were trying to kill you.

my doctors and surgeons were amazing
    so were the hospital nurses
but the staff doctors and personnel were fucken idiots
i had one hack try to give me a pre-surgery nicotine patch (not a smoker)
and another want to switch my medication to something that would have likely killed me
then when i got out, the personnel put the wrong release date so i couldn't get any meds -- 3 days after open heart surgery
i could go on, but at least i'm fucken alive
and major props/ love (homo) to diablo for visiting me and his support
will never forget that my brother, and i can't thank you enough

I currently have a hernia myself so it was good to what happened in your case and warning signs as well. You didn't happen to have it done in Pasadena did you? Glad it worked out. I'm waiting until after I get back from Syracuse which will be in late June.

Ok phew. My doctor was recommended by my doctor who I trust implicitly. He does surgery out of Huntington hospital and I've had nothing but good things to say about them due to my wife's frequent visits to same day surgery.

    Godspeed man.
And after yours is done and you feel it all working well give me his info so he can look at mine. I think I need a second opinion as my surgeon looked at it and said it was 'fine' even though it was still painful 6 months after surgery and still hurts to this day.
Then again I feel like bitching is a sin when I compare how I feel now to how I felt before surgery.
So I kinda feel like the guy who is choking and then sues the dude who performed a Heimlich on him because of a few broken ribs.
