Jordan was a legendary competitor So were Kobe, Payton, Gibby, Chase, Gretzky, Elway and more but it'd be hard for any of them to compare the lion heart of Jack Nicklaus, even at 70!

PS. Johnny was ALWAYS his bitch and he knows it!

What are your thoughts on the Raiders, @Fall Winslow?

Could see anywhere from 6-10 to 11-5.

Gurley signs extension through 2022, there you Todd now you can stop whining about salary!!!!! This reeks of appeasement because of his strike talk but I'm glad he'll be staying.

I like what I'm hearing so far. The coaching staff is beefed up, the secondary will be a ton better if they can stay healthy. Bashad Breeland just left his visit with the RAIDERS and he's pretty good, but they couldn't offer him a starting role in any spot because Melvin, Conley and Worley are handling their business at corner.

And then to get 1st round talents Hurst and Key later in the draft was huge, sounds like they're moving up the depth chart in a hurry. I'm hearing that Key looks insane right now coming off the edge. Still have some questions at MLB even after getting Johnson from KC, but it sounds like they're not out on bringing Bowman back as well to join the group. All in all, they've added a lot of talent on defense, but maybe most importantly Guenther is one of the brightest defensive minds in the league. But in saying that..how's about we sign Khalil Mack already?

Offensively, it sounds like Donald Penn could lose his gig and be cut eventually. I just hope Martavis Bryant can stay out of trouble. Jordy Nelson will probablyy be as good as Crab, but Martavis can bring that devastating deep/size threat that opens up so much. Hopefully they don't cut any of the RBs and just run fresh RBs out there every snap and get back to ball control.

    Oh yeah @jpldodgers
So supposedly Earl Thomas has told Mark Davis to " come get me "
Now, I don't even know how they'd be able to fit him into the cap..and the RAIDERS play Seattle in London this year, so..
But there's a piece on bleacher report about it
Man, if we can get Earl Thomas somehow, some way

Wow, that'd be huge. Not sure how they could get the money figured out but they should explore options to get it done since ET would upgrade a huge weakness.

Crazy what has happened to the Seahawks. Looked like a dynasty in the making and they just fell apart after one of the worst play calls in NFL history. I feel like that locker room had a lot of resentment towards Carroll after that play.

That play call. 1 play throwing an org off the rails, man. Almost similar to the Tuck Rule. Hopefully, DC's injury VS the Colts won't be this era's " 1 play ". Just crazy. Patriots have been so fortunate. It's Ok though, Chucky is back to right this wrong

If Thomas is willing to take a paycut to some extent, maybe it could happen? He's probably reaching for the RAIDERS because he saw them come for Lynch, but Lynch wasn't making 10M per

Why shouldn't Gurley get paid though? He's doing the heavy lifting. That offense is nothing without him. It's not like they have a bunch of Torry Holts and Isaac Bruces running around there, or a Kurt Warner at QB for that matter. Gurley is Marshall Faulk without the Faulk-like supporting cast around him. They damn well better pay that kid. Especially after giving 16M a year to Brandin Cooks of all people.

Which brings me to Julio Jones and his hold out. Falcons better pay up, or else big money Matt Ryan will be exposed. But I'm definitely tired of these meh receivers getting these monster contracts..guys like Brandin Cooks and Sammy Watkins. My goodness. Of course Julio wants more money after seeing Watkins, Cooks, and Ryan get insane money. Amari Cooper basically goes into his contract year knowing he's getting at least a 16M avg. Smh

NEVER said he shouldn't get paid, just thought it was odd timing and really Aaron Donald should have been a 1st priority. While Todd is a top 10 RB Aaron is arguably our best player and a top 2 if not top defensive player

Yeah and I like Cooper but... it's gotten stupid

But as @Doughty8 says Aaron Donald should have been brought into the fold long ago.

Which makes Donald tougher to sign, increasing the likelihood that they'd reach a deal with Gurley first. Even with Gurley being able to claim he's the best RB in the NFL, Donald will pull in much more as a pass rusher. Rams are playing for something bigger now though so it's definitely time to take care of Donald. But you did say Gurley was whining about salary and I just don't see the problem with him wanting his money now. Furthermore, RAIDERS need to get off their ass and pay Mack now.

Gurley had a great rookie season, was pretty mediocre his 2nd and had a resurgence in his 3rd. He wasn't talking contract when he wasn't great and Aaron Donald has been consistently good. I just think he shouldn't talk until we see his 4th season and if we can advance in the playoffs 1st. I do understand his wanting more money but the timing is curios. That's all and yes Mack should be signed they are about to be in Vegas man!!!

Who's going to demand a pay incease in their 2nd year in the league? Advancing in the playoffs really has nothing to do with an elite RB wanting to get paid while he carries the load at a position where time is limited. You keep talking about timing because of some threat of a strike, when really the timing issue is with the position he plays. He wants to get his money while he's good, before he's 30 and they send him out like they do all RBs.

Mack and Donald are basically holding each other up it seems. Nobody wanting to go 1st because the other guy wants to be highest paid. This is crazy. What if we get to the 1st Monday Night of the season and it's Chucky/RAIDERS VS Rams and there's no Mack and Donald?

Pass rushers aren't under the same amount of pressure as RBs when it comes to cashing in, but I can't really blame Donald and Mack either. That would just be so ridiculous to me. There's potential for Chucky's Black Hole return on Monday Night, the fucking season opener VS Rams, to have no Mack and Donald. Those dudes have pretty good leverage. Potentially the most watched Monday Night game ever should have its defensive stars.

2 out of 3 years of great football doesn't equal elite. I know shelf life is short but it's the same for all football players except for QB's generally and it's not like he's being paid chump change. I don't begrudge his asking but he did sign his rookie contract without any fuss I believe unlike Bossa in SD at the time. He's a confident kid so bet on yourself.

That's debatable for a RB. However, it doesn't have to. Saquon Barkley is now the 4th highest paid RB in the league and he has yet to play a single game.
