I heard that it was kind of a hybrid basketball type stretch attempt. An extension, that overall allows the Jags to drop the cap hit they will take in 2019. I think it's front loaded with guaranteed money in the first year, but the overall average over the 3 years makes it kinda cheap. So if he is good, they can keep him later on the cheap. If he sucks, then the team friendly contract makes him tradable. I don't think they have a draft pick high enough to get a franchise QB....so this might be for the following draft and FA period.
