duran duran inducting Roxy as the "synonym for cool" and Ferry as a psychedelic Sinatra is pretty fitting

    YES, whiskey tango foxtrot

Mom needs to get her head out of the gutter. Or her own tightened sphincter. It's cut off the blood to her brain.
So let's lock up all girls.. because men are pigs?!?
WTF, of course men are pigs.. and have been for a millennia.. or more, this is how we're wired.
How did she get 4 sons without playing the 'girl' card..repeatedly.
Of course her sons wearing tight T shirts don't count as enticing the females?

Move along, move along no reason to get upset, its just yet another example of a Catholic hypocrite

im not practicing anything but spirituality, still if i do end up w mom in church i wear a collar and show respect
i stand and sit but won't kneel sorry
that gets me some ire from the parish faithful but oh well
i was raised catholic so i did my share of kneeling
but to the ladies point about the spandex she's not entirely wrong
as much of a hound as i am it can be a bit uncomfortable when a young girl has a full cameltoe in a public setting
its just not right to see a full outline of female genitalia in the grocery store imo
you have the right to do it no question but it lacks class and attracts men of ill intention if you ask me

    This is a good topic.
Why wear a business suit to a house of worship?
Why dress shoes and not sandals?
I understand faith does not have to be logical to some but is there a reasoning behind dressing in slacks, collared shirt, tie, and dress shoes.

    wtf is spirituality?

wearing a collar is showing respect but that respect does not extend to what the parishioners see as showing respect (kneeling)?

the camel toe made me do it!

    like i think you're serious
i see how people dress for church these days and i'm in the upper respect in that respect
i just meant i try to be as serious as the most serious person there because i have respect

i get it, respect but to who/what?
respect to your family or to the tradition?
and why do you want your kids to see you do it?

is it basically a bonding ritual?
    like imprinting?

    I am genuinely curious.
dont have any firsthand experience of catholicism

i have only heard chicks say they are spiritual/spirituality and usually it means something different to each of them
like do you care more about a persons soul/spiritual health than you do their material/physical well being?
that is one example of spirituality that i have heard

    clothing = respect?
    there is a scale?
    it changes with the times?
    clothing = respect = serious = respect?
but that brings me to another question about your time at church
    why so serious?

Camel toe is a sign of respect, pikeys. Re
It signifies the journey of the 3 Wise Men and pays tribute to their long arduous trek atop the desert beast, bringing gifts of gold and two other things nobody has a clue what they are.
Also, an exposed midriff with accompanying navel is the ultimate embracing of motherhood.
    Read your scripture.

Yeah I'm on @LAdiablo side here. While I rarely, if ever attend service with my more devout wife, but when I do I always wear a collar and slacks.
There's a reason why they call them Sunday clothes.
It's a matter of showing respect to the process. And maybe a little to the others buhlievers.

Which is why I don't go but once every year or two.
Blue eyes takes issues with my Homily critiques, most of which I try to constrain until we reach the car.
Within the realm of Catholicism they are mostly all serious.. right after being mostly all pious.
Which is another reason why I stay away.
They tend not to be aware of their own false piety which is simply too much temptation for the likes of this surly Irishman
