In what universe does Greyworm take Jon prisoner and not fight him to the death immediately? Stupid writing like that riddled throughout the final season make it meh but everything else was spectacular.

My guess is everyone in the show started out as nobodies, then became huge stars. All wanted out of the series to work on their new projects and there wasn't enough money to tell a coherent final story. So they dumped a bunch of money into a couple of huge fight scenes, only had enough for 6 episodes, and had to wrap things up immediately

I don't see anything wrong with your account setup.
There was a database rebuild process that failed. I re-ran it and it completed successfully.
Doubt that was causing your problems, but it was the only thing I could see that was broken with the site.

Let me know if you keep having problems.

Sure. And apropos that, how does Drogon not barbeque Snow instead of melting the Iron Throne. He just wasted his babe mom. But I loved the symbolism.
I thought since Snow was Targerian (sp?), maybe he wouldn't burn at all.
there are many open ends for a sequel...many. But HBO says only a prequel is planned.

Jersey boy Dinklage was a previously a respected actor...Lena Heady is a noted actor in the UK, as is Liam Cunningham.
And Grey Worm and Bronn were/are in music over there. There are videos around. Mellisande, too.
Really pissed off at Bronn, since he was banging Cersei irl. And Cersei makes me gooey.
But it didn't end well, as she told them she wouldn't film a scene with him at any time. And didn't.
But yeah, you're right...career launches all over the place.

I thought that Drogon realized that her lust for power as symbolized by the throne is what killed Dany, not Jon Snow.
But getting roasted by Drogon, or impaled by Grey Worm probably would have been a better ending for Jon Snow.
I thought getting to live happily every after with college buddies beyond the wall was pretty hokey and off-tone for the show.

After the dragons and wolves, my favorite was Davos...I liked his character, his acting, and one Irishman who looked a lot like my father.
I liked Bronn to, really, but when I found out he was boning Cersei irl, I moved him off the love area.
Have to disagree on the lines actors were given to speak. Thought over 8 years, the dialogue was fascinating and sharp most of the time. Not Shakespeare, but pretty damn good for TV.
Maintained over the course of the series run, it was one of strong points of the tale.
Don't think it relied totally on CGI and FX. When dragons and zombie demons are integral to the plot, what should you expect? If you need them to tell the tale, then do it best.
They were, and done spectacularly, imo. But there was plenty of human intrigue and complexities, and for the most part, acted top notch.

    Bad bit, that.
Same exact thing happened to me this past Feb./ Mar., did the urgent care thing too. Wound up the a steriod therapy knocked it out of me.
It's all good though. Lost 19.5 pounds.
I mean you have to take advantage of it when you can. Like back in the day when the women could do just by going out with a cocaine dealer, right?
    Fuck that.

That's what I was most intrigued about. Endings to iconic shows can be too high a hurdle for a majority of shows. I'm not going bat shit over the ending but you cannot please everyone so you have to please yourself.

Only endings that were done right were The Wire and Breaking Bad.

And The Wire season five wasn't even that good.

thought it would be nice to take the gf out for her birthday to downtown and walk around...big mistake
first thing was not anticipating memorial day traffic
second was the fact that downtown is just about over
i've always loved the mix of people on the streets and never had anything bad happen all these years
nothing bad happened today but i could see a major change in the way people looked at us
tents everywhere and wandering drug addled wasted people everywhere
they almost outnumbered the people walking around shopping
salvaged the day by hitting Thai town and getting a great lunch
holed up for the rest of the night in WH
hope you all have a great Memorial day and remember those that gave all
we are forever indebted to those great men and women that never got the chance to take off the uniform

We attend several events a year downtown (usually Kings' games). We take the 8th-9th St turnoff off the 110 south. In years past it's been a little trashy, just the usual big city shit. This year was totally different. A complete tent city, complete with the accompanying trash has sprung up.

Don't worry. Newsom is putting together a "task force" to get to the bottom of this!

back when i was bartending we used to go down to first street (near broadway) and eat at the after hours places
    daikokuya, mayflower, etc
sometimes burrito king near ds on sunset
but somewhere around 2005 it started to change
more homeless peeps, tweakers, and other unsavory types
was a time where i'd feel safe walking those streets at night with a girl
but towards the end of the late 00's no way
haven't lived in la for over a decade and, sadly, can only imagine how much it's deteriorated since then
