yeah i was texting w Chi town last night since they have a vested interest in the series. apologized for throwing the game insisting on diaz closing. his comment was exactly "well it appears he's set up for the bottom of the order so let's see". and that we did. did find ONE article calling out davey on his decisions. even said it was moronic but still short of just calling him out. even diaz says he's going to keep taking the ball right now but understands if the team needs to try something different right now. i'm sure at some point the team will get a 3 or 4 run lead in the 6th and they can throw him out for 3 batters to see if he can gain his footing. but pretending he's the ONLY close option makes me want to find my way behind the dugout w a bat.
