Well there you have it, all but 5 of you MLB catchers need to turn in your "player" cards, YOU'RE DONE!!! Seriously though, catcher always has and always will be a defensive position. Any offense you gain from that spot in the lineup is gravy. Yes, there have been many offensively talented catchers through the years, but the vast majority of them historically were poor offensive players. It's tired, it's lame, it's worn slam fucking out...but it's still true today. Defense up the middle, power from the corners.
