Gotta love it, but it shouldn't have been this hard.

I enjoy watching him play. Still don't see as an everyday bat in the lineup. Doesn't get on base and takes too many wild ass swings.

Great as super utility man and jack of all trades, though.

Considering the number of games lost to injury, it's somewhat understandable.

Injuries didn't help for sure, but 10 games under .500 was all kinds of awful. I thought we were deeper than that. And injuries were a problem last season.

On another note, I'm just wondering if CK has to make adjustments to his pitching style. Maybe he does have too much mileage on his arm and back. The fastball, curveball, slider combo just doesn't seem as sharp (CK level standards or course).

Wonder if he can become a Greg Maddux type pitcher, painting corners and not relying on velocity but changing speeds.

His impending opt out decision is looking large.

Great way to close out the first half. Well, kind of first half. Still skeptical about Kershaw, Kenley, Bellinger, non-babip lucky Taylor, and injured Turner... With the absence of Seager on top of that, I'm just not sure about this team in the post.

Luckily the national league sucks. Front office better do their job to put us back into the super-elite group of teams.

Kike is a perfect 4th OF on this team that has two starting outfielders (Joc and Puig) who have yet to prove they can hit lefties.
    Lefties being Kikes specialty.

CF: Joc/Taylor = Good combo of hitting, eye and power, while providing decent defense in CF with some decent leadoff ability.
RF: Puig/Kike = Best glove/arm/athlete big play making 5 tool RF that can do a little bit of everything well that can produce from the bottom of the lineup.

They need to just pencil it in that way once they get Machado or Seager comes back.
If you combine Joc and Taylor you have a top 5 CF, same with Puig and Kike.
Toles will continue to be the 6th OF until Kemp or Puig leave in FA or Joc is traded.
Because Toles has not shown he can hit lefties consistently either.

Point is that the Dodgers should trade Verdugo and get the most they can for him and not trade or sign any OF.
Toles will still have a shot once Kemp is gone. And Kemp might hit well next year and resign for a team friendly contract fir a couple more years to finish off as a Dodger.

    I'll gladly take it.

I just have a feeling we're gonna pull an '06 Cardinals and win the whole shebang with 84 wins

That would be most Dodgers thing ever considering they have won 93+ each of the last 5 years.

Yo Rube they're only 5 if the combination can be on the field at one time... a bit of an issue
